Whilst I love the dense snaps and deep crackling crunch the Aquatint affords the chalk, the saturation and pigmentation is not as intense as with the Decopac, although the powdery dusty crumble is so satisfying. The Decopac really does provide the most gorgeously deep rich colour and the crisp snaps that give way to the powdery crunch into shard dotted powder is utterly captivating. So yes, horses for courses. WC (W Chalk) presented as particularly sharp snapped, shatteringly splintery and glassily crunchy here in contrast.
