A sugar bowl will have 2 handles. I agree, the lid belonged to the sugar bowl, but it must have broken and not be in her set.

If you see you can make Christmas stockings for your family out of the quilt or get a rabbit pattern from Pinterest and make stuffed rabbits for each of the girls for Easter.

The old quilt can be cut up, and made into pillows, dresser scarf/table runner, and a piece put into a frame for remembrance. The sugar bowl must have broken,and that's the lid. No creamer either. Good idea to use the lid to keep your coffee warm. A lovely set of dishes.

The wood piece that your doing for Rosie to put her little items in is called a printers drawer. They used to put printers advertising plates in those little areas. OMGosh, seriously? You got exactly what you wanted! Now that was a God wink moment.

Since there is no plate groove at the back to allow you to display plates upright, you can cut a piece of matching quarter round molding to create support for the dishes. My friend did this for her glass fronted kitchen cabinets. Gives you more of a splash of color. Love your style!

Every time you show Rosie’s room, I love seeing her gorgeous bed! That wooden piece that you are going to hang on her wall is an antique printmaker’s tray. If you search it online, they run from $90-ish up into $120+! It will really showcase all of her little treasures. I hope you show it in a later video. That orangey hutch (love the color!) is absolutely gorgeous! And what a find was that boxful of beautiful blue-and-white Staffordshire dishes. I wouldn’t put them in the microwave or possibly even the dishwasher (research it online first). The “cup” with a lid is the sugar dish to go with the creamer. And, no, the horse’s leg isn’t broken - his leg is tucked under because he is lying down. He is beautiful! Please lay down the 3 or 4 books next to your plate on the holder (not sure why some people called it an easel) - I was so nervous worrying that those books would fall over and break your plate and your horse! I do hope you will do the gallery wall of blue-and-white plates, and look forward to seeing that in the future. So glad everyone survived the “plague!”❤

I absolutely love Rosie's room. The wood cubby is such a great find! The white crystal tower (Selenite) will look perfect in it because of the contrasting color. It happens to be one of my favorite crystals. It is known for promoting peace and calm. Others that are good for the bedroom are rose quartz and amethyst. I'd love to see it when she has it all filled up with her precious finds.

I’m wondering if the lid that fits so perfectly on the teacup was actually the lid for a sugar bowl. I didn’t see a sugar bowl on the table, glad it works so perfect on the cup. Also mind if I ask how much you got the set for? What an incredible find. God gives us the desires of our heart, doesn’t he? Also the leg of the horse isn’t broken. I had a quilt made by my husband's granny athat was 80 years old. MICE GOT INTO the storage box and ruined sections of it. I was heartbroken but decided to make christmas tree skirt, stockings and stuffed hearts from the salvageable areas. I love my quilted stockings hanging on dining chairbacks and hearts arranged in a wooden bowl filled with evergreen and a wooden carved Santa standing nearby. THere are also some small quilted stars and hearts hanging on window garland and on my prim trees. That one treasured quilt spread love of family thru-out my home!

No, I try not to bring anything into the house with characters or catchy words or phrases. We try to keep things as classic as possible. If anything, it’s disposable items, like stickers or special snacks.

Hi Kristen! Your hutch turned out beautiful! I got a printers drawer in my teenage years to fill with all of the seashells I collected. I’m 54 now and I still use it in my own home for my and my own 2 daughters rocks, shells and other nature finds. She’ll probably treasure that for a lifetime!

I love how you curated your cabinet. You might want the move the cacti lower. They may not get any light on the top shelf. I love that you put a lot of things in the hutch. I’m not a minimalist. I think the more the better. Have the built ins around my tv decorated. And they need edited again. I’m going to take a day and pull everything out to dust it and edit it when I put it back. I have eighteen spaces to decorate. Well, seventeen. The dog claimed one spot, so I put a small bed in that shelf for him. But I don’t have ironstone. I do have some white pitchers. And my dad and step mom had that same painting that was above your hutch in their dining room. I do remember that. And that was many years ago.

Score! I would definitely use a bookend on that top shelf -- you don't want the books to fall over, and break your platter! The quilt edge could be mended. Barring that, you could repurpose it, as per other suggestions. The printer's tray is a great idea for all those rocks, etc. Perfect. I love the orangy tones on the hutch. I LOVE that hutch! It's so versatile, too; it could go in any room. And it was never a mess, either. The person who had to give up those dishes is thrilled that you are in love with them.
