You have a gift of staging the house. Will you keep everything up till the 4th of July. The little town I am from has a big parade every year. The town is paced. We always have our class reunions on that day. It is like Christmas to us. My parents and my husbands were very patriotic. They went through the war. Yes we are war babies. Gave my age away. But we decorate our parents graves and our grandparents. The cemetery's have flags all around the whole thing . It is so beautiful and meaningful. This makes me miss my parents. My Mom just died last August. She was 94. So having you decorate is a lovely touch. Teaching your children why we celebrate these days is important. Thanks Joyce

I decorate in red, white and blue for the time period of Memorial Day to Labor Day. I keep it somber for Memorial Day in memory of the fallen, and then I put all of my super festive Flag Day/Independence Day items out! My husband has been bugging me, asking if I have told you how great your last recipes were, so let me just say it now: OMG, that Mac and cheese was to die for!; that rib recipe was to die for!; and that chipotle slaw was to die for!!! O. M. G.!!! Omg, omg OMG, soooo goood! I now know what I will be serving for our next bunch of company! Thank you so much! Just recently found your channel and I know that I am commenting on an older video. I personally, do not decorate for Memorial Day. I celebrate this day by volunteering at my local National Cemetery, placing American Flags on the graves of fallen soldiers. I would definitely like this decorating for July 4th. It is so patriotic.

Yes I decorate the outside for Memorial Day... I put flags all through my flower garden and in window flower boxes, patriot ice throw pillows on our bench. My house is dark brick, blue and white so I can decorate patriotically all the time 🤣 our flag just goes with summer so well 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is a historic tradition in my family. Tickets to the Indy 500 (24), family and friends arrive. Mac's BBQ, Potato Salads, fellowship, Memorial Day decors are checkered flags and race driver pictures of the starting grid for the race. I was an official Timer and Scorer for the race for 18 years. Hi... Love your porch and flags lining the walkway. Simple but more traditional. Like the simple touches inside. I don't really decorate for memorial day outside of the flag hanging outside our door and a small flag place along the walkway for each veteran who served our country. We place flowers on our father and grandfathers graves as they were veterans. I am an aging baby boomer and Memorial Day was celebrated differently than today.It was a day to remember our deceased veterans. There was a parade for all the Veterans and then the family went to the cemetery to place flowers on their family members graves. Flags on veterans. Once done with that , we would return home or possibly go to a grandparent or Uncles home for dinner, maybe a bbq. Today Memorial Day is just a three day weekend to celebrate the start of Summer. Bbqs, parties, beer, hot dogs, camping trips to the mountains or lake. The true meaning of the day has basically disappeared.
