And as for the plant and the tree, if you have an iphone, you can take a photo of each and then select the "information" button under it to find out exactly what it is! And Shelby, OMG, that chalk drawing is amazing at any age, and you did that as a little child? Just wow!

I have decorated for Spring starting Feb. 15th Everything went green and white in every room (after Christmas and Valentines red) I used moss and faux paper whites in my white ironstone and ceramic soup tureens, to do a dining tablescape, with cabbage dishes! My daughter is an art major in grad school (her son and my son are artists too) so I notice art and paintings a lot; and I thought the horse painting was wonderful! I shouldn’t be surprised my grandson could draw since he could write. I thought the bread was beautiful, looked delicious. I’d love to try that for visitors and I enjoy folding clothes. Shelby’s play room with that wallpaper is my Favorite !

Your plant in Shelby’s green room looks like a Salmon Tuberous Begonia plant. But there are so many different types of begonias. The leaves looked wavy so they may consider them “angel wing” and there’s “dragon wings “ too. So in all I’d say it’s some type of begonia. I’m no expert but I hope this helps. Yes, winter weather in the Dallas metroplex can still be coming, so I still have a few evergreen branches scattered about the house, but since it is supposed to get to 80° this week…I may let them go and move on to something a bit more spring-like. The focaccia looks incredible! I too love that sunroom with the new tile floor the best. As far as the command hooks... I too had trouble getting mine off an antique armoire beveled mirrored door. I thought I was going to break the mirror!!!!! I just stuck a small butter knife under the bottom and very, very, carefully kept adding a little upward pressure til it finally popped off. Next year the hook is going inside the door, upside down , so I can hook a length of ribbon over the door to hang the wreath. I soooooo agree with teaching children how to live in the spaces, rather than restricting them or letting them run wild. I always had nice things out , I let my son pick it up, touch it, look at it , then I would tell him it was not a toy, It was Mamas and to be left alone. Once he got to examine it and touch it, he lost interest.

I love both of your houses. They are very pretty. The bread looked festive. I’m still going to have to work on putting Christmas decorations away. Last month when I was carrying stuff to the basement I got half way down the steps & started sliding. I broke my ankle. Yesterday and today I took down my remaining evergreens from vases and replaced with faux spring greenery and florals. I usually wait till March 1st but was getting too antsy so switch things up for the new season. I use real houseplants as well, but I'm wondering if I have too many vases out - I like the height they give and I'm not sure what else to use in their place.

It sounds like a lot of us are getting a head start! 💕 I use vases, houseplants, books, baskets and art all layered around to style each vignette. When I get overwhelmed I call mom over! It's helpful to have a second set of eyes 😊

Use a heat gun on the command strip. Heat it for a few seconds and then pull it off. Works great.
