My mom makes cookies like these but she uses different icy and decorate every inch with the star tip. These remind me of Starbucks cookies. It's a lot of work to have them eaten in 5 seconds.

These are so cute. When I think I have seen my favorite, you do another Cookie then I have to rethink it. You are so very talented. I think that Santa is my favorite though. Between you and Marlyn of Montreal Confections, I have learned so much and have so much respect for you both. There are others that are wonderful but the 2 Of you have a way about you that I feel good about and will be proud to support. Even just a couple dollars each every month can be a struggle so I have to get busy Baking. Do you outline and flood with the same icing and/or icing consistency?

Most of the time I use 15 second consistency to outline and flood, for very large cookies I think icing a big more so it doesn't have a chance to crust before I'm finished flooding and for small sections I like to use thicker icing 20-30 sec.

I'm a little confused on the consistency usages. Sometimes you use 15 second as the outline and on other cookies you use outline (toothpaste) consistency. Maybe it's because of the other decorating/consistencies needs for each cookie. Can you clarify? Thank you.

Thanks Ryan, gold edible paint you can either purchase pre-made, I usually use gold luster dust mixed with just a little bit of lemon extract or everclear(if you can get your hands on it). You are looking for a thicker consistency, not too thin.Basically you should useliquid with high alcohol content so when you paint with it it will evaporate quickly. Otherwise if it would sit on the icing it would dissolve some of the icing and surface would become rough, with sand like appearance. Hope that make sense.

Thank you. It is just my interpretation, like when you are looking at the animal at certain angle. You can make them lower, it's no harm to do it your way.
