✍Hello... I know it's sad that there's no one to pass pictures on to but, I'm an only child and my girls (60-55) weren't able to ever have any children so there's no grandchildren. I'm 79 and almost all my relatives have passed away. No one to pass along to all the photos that have been taken over all the years. What's even scarier is if and when I die who's going to be there for them or for which one is left behind. I've been in really bad health this past year and that's my biggest concern. I used to love spending the day shopping with my mama and daughters. Mama is now in Heaven but I still get to enjoy my daughters. You and your sister spend all the time you can with your sweet mama. Just enjoy each other and give bunches of hugs. Looks like your sister had a nice birthday...that was so thoughtful of her husband. Have fun redoing her bedroom.

Your sister’s bedroom took me back to the 70s when my sister used that green and burnt Orange throughout her house. It was very popular at the time although I was not a fan back then but I like it better now.

I enjoy the way you decorate your cute home. You have done an amazing job with it. Just a couple FYI's - The string of hearts is called a garland. Those tiny dishes/saucers you called butter pats were also used as salt cellars. Back when those dishes came out, people would have a little bowl of salt beside their plate to dip veggies and other things into. A bit extreme these days, but back then it was the norm. The tiny candle holder at the flea market is used for what they call "Chime Candles".

The heart shape is "my" shape. My husband has made heart shaped cut out in our old houses shutters and all kinds of different build projects and gifts throughout the years, so I love this time of year. I always go to home goods and see what's new.....

Homer Laughlin is from my neck of the woods. W Va and Ohio. As well as Nichols and Buffalo china. I collect some of it. It was mostly used for restaurant ware. My grandma had some of what I collect that’s how I got started. I have also collected crocks since I was 17. Found one in a junk store in Akron, and so it began. I am 68 now. Still collecting. I also like the tiny milk servers used in restaurants. They are darling. Mt tastes have changed very slightly over the years. But 50 years is a long time. I love your videos.

So yeah old family pictures are very hard to deal with. We lost 4 family members in one year no one to Covid but having to go through old family pictures that are not labeled is very hard to keep. I am 63 and my girls are more minimalist in only keeping what they want or need. They also have stressed they do not want boxes of pictures of people or family they do not know. I do have the old portraits of my great grandparents and the oldest daughter is ok with that. So I have started using a digital photo service and having pictures scanned and saved on an I cloud account and shared with with them. I did family videos this year and that was their Christmas gift and we watched some that night. Laughed and had a great time. (they are all Apple users)
