My dad was so much like yours, he could turn his hand to anything. He was always there when I needed him, I just lived across the street from him and mum too. One note, what about using a L bracket and putting it on the window wall and drilling it into the wall & the window shelf, then just painting it. Or find a cute L style bracket & do the same. IKEA has ceiling brackets. The curtains can go all the way to the top. Makes the walls look higher. Have just tuned in Debi and loving it👍

I was in San Diego twice in my life visiting a friend and it was really pretty there. We went on Mission Beach because her first apartment was right on the beach. I drank my coffee looking at the ocean. What a treat. Her second apart was up further but I walked down to the beach. I was quite a walk but back then I could do that. That was in the 70's and 80's. I haven't been back there since and my friend has since passed away. I think I may have been to that swap meet. We did go to one and it was big and I got some neat things there.

I am not a boho design type person but I love what you are doing with your sister and dads cottages. Those cottages are really cute. Soon retiring and love the idea of San Diego. My husband worked there a million years ago, he rented an apt on the beach in Mission Beach. I would come once a month for a week or two. I loved it. Kinda a personal question, but would you share where they live? There place is so cute. Looks like a very laid back community.
