well, I saw my step-mom's home reproduced several times in photographs, thing is though, she wasn't my step-mom until the 1970's, she lugged that 50's elegance with her all the way to the 1980's when she ''redecorated'' had the dining chairs and the living room chairs reappolstered , the divan stayed pearl white. all French Provencial. LOL

They knew how to use colour in those days. They weren't locked in to grey, beige, black and white. Their places looked inviting.
