This will not work on black candles only cream and white:)

Very pretty, I am confused though, i don't understand how candles can be burned by just using medium, is this if you just want to paint the candle, do the rice paper burn safely on its own? Sorry to be so thick :).

how can I make the candle safe to burn without painting it - I have tried some candle glue called Kerzen Potch and painted all over the candle but when dry the candle looks like it has a film over it

You need to look for matt glue:)
