I purchased some stipple brushes, they work really well, but I guess I don't have the eye for mixing the colors just right. I'll keep trying! I'm practicing on tiles before I attempt the square plates.

Hi Merry my friend! Thanks so much! Here's a good rule to go by when mixing paint colors. Analyze if the color you need to match is cool or warm. Cool would be blue and gray undertones. Warm would be orange and gold undertones. If your paint is warm and you need it to be cool, add a little gray or blue. If your paint is cool and you need it to be warm, add a little yellow. That usually does the trick. You can add black or white to lighten or darken your hue. Here's another trick, if your color doesn't match exactly bring it farther into the rice paper design and it will blend in and look like it should be that way. Just keep practicing, you'll get it down, I have faith in you! Let me know if you ever have any questions or need help. Thanks for always watching and sending me messages 🤗💖

@masoncreationsetc I've been looking at the polyvine products which I will need to get from Amazon Australia since I am in New Zealand. They have the Polyvine Heavy Duty Wood Varnish, however I can only fined the Multi Surface Lacquer in a Satin Finish. Will the Satin finish be OK? The tiles I brought have a flat finish as I found sublimation tiles were cheaper, and also making coasters using the wood coaster tiles. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Kind regards Barb

Hi Barb, Polyvine is much more expensive on Amazon. I don't see why the Multi Surface Lacquer in satin wouldn't work though. It's a great product as well. Did you check out Decoupagenapkins?
