Invasion mode really should be opt in for Karls, not opt out. That way it would only be enabled for players who explicitly turn it on.

9:10 and 18:10 - You can check the advanced stats for a weapon, like your secondary that you mentioned being too visible, throwing a bunch of bonuses towards movement speed, usually by stripping it down into lighter parts. While pistols can be faster to run with it depends on the parts you are using. 20:20 - It is likely that he was throwing C4 around the place which didn't render on your side, but you running up triggered a proximity explosive of sorts. The guy was likely trapping the area and you caught him in the middle of it, usually piling bodies in tight spaces like that can hide a boobytrapped one similar to when you died at 16:05. The first explosion came from the doorway, he likely put something small in the edge of it so you wouldn't see it while running around.

I played this game ONE time, and got probably one of my most proudest moments in multiplayer gaming. I was near the end of the first level when a sniper joined the game, mind you I have really no idea how to play multiplayer. Anyways I’m near the end of the level inside the famous radio station that is every ww2 game like ever and I just panic and sit still thinking of what to do as I get the sniper has your location icon at this point I’m shitting myself but realize he’s coming in the radio station too so I hide lay next to a dead body and face the door. I stupidly didn’t realize I needed to reload my gun so when I shoot nothing happens but he doesn’t notice me and walks right past me and starts to use the phone. I walked up and knifed him from behind right as he picked up the phone. It felt so damn good 😂😂

Problem with this game, like many others, scope glint. No matter how much you blend in, all you need is to aim and you create a giant flashing sun at the tip of your rifle for all to see.

But since the glint is the same for both players, its still balanced. Neither of you can just sit with a sniper watching a choke point or an objective. Invasion mode would be a campers dream if it wasnt for the scope glint and couple other balancing factors

@SamuMan. you do know, as Karl, your focus ability tells you the general direction of the invader? If they're outside your mini map view, there's a indicator pointing in the direction. If they're somewhere within your mini map, the whole circle is red. You can then also see them through walls when close enough.

@ 6:50, when playing as Invader against a Co-op, the the game will only give you the location of the player using the phone, on their 3rd and any subsequent calls. Co-op teams frequently camp one player near a phone to lure the Invader in while the other Karl lays in wait.

Sometimes the other player also goes on the hunt, relying on his teammate marking the invaders position. People like that also often have every german soldier already killed or mines scatered around the map so I actually advice leaving the match, unless you are an experienced invader player.

@ True, but I rarely leave when matched against a Co-op, usually more of a challenge, and definitely more rewarding when you get them both! Notice how Co-op teams who play that way are almost never running in Authentic?

In a fair 1vs1 most of them would immediatly quit since they have to rely on advantages. I personally kind of despise people like that. In my opinion they try to feel strong by playing like assholes, just to fail against the realy good invader players.

@5:40 You mention your vacation being revealed, and said “he must have focused…”. Your location was revealed by Karl using the Invasion Phone, and proximity has nothing to do with it, he could be on the other side of the map. Using the phone is the ONLY way the game gives you that message, just as it will give Karl the same message if YOU, the Invader, uses the phone. The difference is that Karl can use it as soon as the Invader spawns, and the Invader can’t use the phone until 5 minutes after he spawns. Also, Karl can use the phone twice without giving away his own location, the Invader gives away his location every time he uses it. Karl can also give his location away by camping, in which case he’ll also be tagged.

It might not be a giveaway to have a weapon on your back, but in every sniper elite game I’ve played I purposely chose the smallest secondary just to reduce my visual profile. I never aim in the scope unless I’m ready to shoot and I probably take too much time setting things up.

Hey are you open for friendly matches? Would realy like to try a round against ya if possible. Also some advice from an experienced sniper jäger (around 800 kills), you can use the secondary or pistols to snipe enemies if you don't want to get spotted. Some secondaries and pistols can be modified to be focused on high damage/long range and also be equiped with a scope. If you want to try it yourself then I advice the P08 with long barrel and the StG44 (I know it's called the MP44 in game but pls don't call it that). Also putting a bajuwet on your rifle can be pretty usefull because sometimes you lose encounters simple because you couldn't melee kill the enemy from the front (like at the start of this video).
