I love the raw emotions here and understanding Pat's feelings. Imagine yourself growing up with separated parents, you feel alone. And when he got himself a boyfriend, Put left him. And now, Jeng was the epitome of your ideal man, in Pat's words, "too good to be true". And days after Jeng confessed to him, he discovered Jeng will leave the department. Also, Jen is his friend although they never had that much interaction, but once again Pat saw someone leaving. Again. For Pat, it's a cycle of people leaving him behind - only to left with memories. That repetitive feeling of being alone. He keeps building himself only to see himself breaking again. SENDING HUGS TO PAT! ALSO HAND DOWN TO THE TEAM AND WRITERS. THANKS FOR THIS MASTERPIECE!

its normal for pat to think of jeng as "too good to be true," not just because he's young but look at how his last relationship turned out. he was always pushed aside so its only natural for him to feel insecure about someone new liking him. especially someone who dotes on pat the way jeng does.

@@timothy4342 i think that pat might’ve just felt overwhelmed. he just broke up with put and he was feeling really sad about it so everything else happening so fast (like his birthday and jeng telling him he likes him) might have just felt like too much for him to handle, so he broke down crying. i also think he might be a little sensitive which might be why he cries often, but honestly- idk. i really just think he felt overwhelmed by all these things happening at once

I saw a lot of comment, especially in the last part (9 2/4) where peopel were hating on Pat, calling him a crybaby. But no one understood how good they covered his mental health. From his parent being divorced and his ex partner disappearing from his life without even explaining im not surpirsed if he has some kind of ptsd. And seeing someone as perfectas Jeng confessing to him, the first thought is more or less " he will find someone better and leave me because im worthless" (this is a feeling that everyone can see he have ever since episode one) and is probably too afraid to express those feelings that he, clearly, already have.

I rarely cry while watching series, but I shed a few tears during the scene when Pat talked to his parents. This is my favorite scene in the whole series. I'm glad he talked to them even if he didn't explain everything. He's been under a lot of pressure from graduating, adjusting to the workplace, and with the toxic work environment and past relationships. I understood him when he said he's been taking care of everything but himself and even forgot his birthday. He's at that age where he's still exploring things in terms of career, love life, and himself. I understand why he felt so insecure that Jeng could like someone like him and why he's so confused. He looked so small when he cried and held on to his parents' hands. I'm glad that his parents are here for him. I like that they the parents on good terms with each other after divorcing The actors did such a great job portray the emotions

I believe Pat was going through his on depression. What the story didn't do is convey that by maybe adding a friendship conversation. They made a small attempt. I think his response to his boss liking him didn't help. Because after all it's his boss not just another coworker. Given what happened with his first love and not being valued it unfortunately makes him question if i cant get someone whose in a regular position how can u get my boss too. So it doesn't really matter how many times hes said it. I get not all stories have the budget but when a story does it should have that progression stage. This is the first bl to have a real reaction to a boss liking an employee. This series has done what most shows either fail or don't attempt at all.
