May I ask you. Do you see DeeJay building meter more easily than others because of his knee shot jump in? I guess other player will build meter as a byproduct but was curious about your general use of meter. Does he fadc well or should meter just bolster his defense and offense?

+Toomnyusernae I prefer to save at least two bars in case I land an fadc confirm from a sobat read or ex upkicks . Bolstering defense and offense are my main concern. I would agree attacking with knee shot into safe strings build meter fast, but this is not viable on all the cast. You need air slashers and patience. Remember that one of the core aspects as a dj player is to be precise and always in control. Pick your spots and look to reset spacing or a situation to where you have an answer for most options. being on the wrong place at the wrong time is death.

I can't do any tests because I'm travelling abroad but what I can see from other DeeJayers is you don't get explosive damage and need to coax openings. I suppose that's what air slashers are for. So we have knee shot vortex mixups and footsies with slashers and sobats. Is machinegun easy to punish by most? I seldom see it get stuffed after being blocked. I wonder if that chip damage is worth more than sobats. Speaking of which, sobat fadc into double standing forwards into stand strong seems to work well?

I sent this link to a few people I know who play Dee Jay, and they've all responded very positively to it. I don't like playing charge characters, but I'm interested in Dee Jay, and I think learning him could be my gateway into learning to play charge peeps.

Jump ins against Dee Jay Fireballs aren't counter hit in AE2012 If you anti-air with cl.Roundhouse and it only hits once, you can walk up and juggle with another one hit cl.Roundhouse. Can't wait to see the rest of this since I am a Dee Jay main myself. Unfortunately I think the best thing about him now is people don't know how to play against him, this might change that.

The reason why people don't really play DeeJay is cause they attempt to play him like Guile. He is nothing like Guile, he can be used like Guile but that's not going to be rewarding.(since he loses fireball wars) Deejay is meant to be a heavy mix up character abusing his frame traps and his vortex. Also Guiles normals is better if you aim to keep away, DeeJays normals can be used to apply great pressure and punish things on reaction.

you cant pressure as hard with Guile as you can with Deejay. His knee drop works like a divekick if you can find the range with it

this was a random jump in combo but he also has far canceble normals like mk into hard sobatkick and you can fadc it too also he has many juggle options at least i thing he is mid tier for damage output when not better

Shortcuts? not so much. It has to be the full motion. The best "Shortcut" I could advise is to start from forward down and swing it to up back fluidly. If you mess up, you will jump back fierce which is better than nothing or a random ultra. After unmashed MGU, attempt to start your dash the second the char starts to fall downward from the apex. PRACTICE!!

Guile is still better coz he is way more defensive ! and flash kick is the best DP ever ! Dee Jay has this "flash kick" issue , it´s hard to land at the jumping opponent. The only great thing in dj is the damn slide - this shit really works ! but guile has better normals ! that´s why nobody plays with dj !
