Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, I'm a new revert sister from Germany, alhamdulillah, new life since 3 months. JazakAllah khair wa BarakAllahu feeki sister for this series. I always wondered about "yami deen" in Al-Fatiha, but failed to look behind it. But with your explanation it makes sense now. Last week I finished learning Al-Nasr, alhamdulillah. Thank you for this! This is the best 'translation' and tafseer i have seen so far. e.g. عابدون is a noun not a verb, so you translate it as a noun (worshippers). Ma sha allah. Great point about Deen vs Religion too.

Very interesting idea. There are many non Muslims who believe that allah is a god just like any other diety. So worshipping is the key element that differentiates people. Also the idea also extrnds to Muslims who may fall prey to superstitions and neglect the prescribed way of worshipping allah in favour of unislamic beliefs

both, you will be accounted for not only on the day of judgement but also in this life through situations where u face the consequences of disobeying god through various forms.
