Nick & Dee I think Nick should do a reaction/full breakdown of this video... interviewing Dee. Starting with what Dee says first etc... step by step... As this is the perfect example of how to do it right... Maybe do it (billed/presented) as a roast... Do it in your office studio using the big screen at the back and then transitioning to full screen etc and using the cameras in studio as you talk to one another about each step (sort of news channel style dynamics of editing) Then go into Thumbnail, Title, Description and what and why.. etc.. I could only find one fault (one other if I'm being super picky) the audio... the mic is too close.. it causes a number of things including a high frequency that we can't hear but I can detect (I have worked in recording studios etc). Watch and listen to Nick's videos where you use the shotgun mic compared to the table mic, shotgun is softer with more air and no high frequency pop/whistling, you could knock off the high frequencies in studio but it never sounds perfect.. as I said it's easier to just move the mic a couple of hand spans away but it depends on the type of mic, even point it away.. you could take audio to the next level and use a background mic or go completely wild and use five mics.. it's like people can use one light or three or five point lighting etc.. Main thing with audio that many do.. is get good sound then ruin it by putting some evil tick tick track plastered on, that I absolutely hate and causes tinnitus same as high frequency. But that's a creator choice... as with anything the creator chooses and the channel succeeds or fails it's potential. Hope this helps.. eh. Depends on the audience. I hate captions because if takes the viwers eyes off the crerator. Its clearly just a retention tactic. Thats the whole point of watching is to connect with the creator with eye contact not read what is being said. Just my opinon. im in my 40s though. The crownd under 30 may think differently.

I don’t think so. Not yet. At least not for the free version. There is a paid app that will do it called Captions.

Maybe I missed you explaining this, but when the video gets uploaded to KZbin, will it accept the captions file so that I don't have to wait for KZbin to generate its own? I usually wait for KZbin to generate one, then I have to go in and correct it. I'd rather do it in Capcut first.

Great question and I’m not sure. I haven’t tested it like that. However, captions are now a pro feature for many people and no longer free. :-(

@@DeeNimmin Ah, I didn't see that it costs til I went to export the video in CapCut, and then it wanted me to buy a pro subscription. Dang. But on a good note, it looks like InShot, if you have the permanent pro version, which I got for like $35 a year ago but is about $39.99 now, you can get free auto captions. The permanent pro version is a one time payment, which is very nice....no yearly subscription. I may have to create my videos in Capcut on my tablet, then export and load into InShot to get the auto captions when I want those for my Shorts. However, I uploaded a short video that I auto captioned in InShot to KZbin, and of course the captions are burned in. It appears that the desktop version of CapCut for Mac will do auto captions, then you can export them as an SRT file, but that's only if you have the Pro version, which I assume is still a subscription, not a one time fee. And finally, it appears that auto captions and then exporting them as an SRT file is available in the one time fee of $295 for DaVinci Resolve. So, long story short, once I start creating videos again, I'll have to just upload my videos to KZbin and manually edit/fix the auto captions there til it becomes feasible to either use Rev, buy DaVinci, or pay for a subscription to CapCut.

FYI, this doesn't seem to be the case anymore in free version. Exporting a video with captions is only on the pro version So you can add them and tweak them, but can't export the video unless you pay 👍
