Nice to see that spindle hogging material! I just got the 4030 Evo Ultra and it is a beast. Cannot wait to do some larger aluminum projects on it without spending days cutting.

I was really impressed at how fast it was cutting! I want to get my hands on one of the 4030 Evo Ultra machines!

Get a small block of steel to put between the back jaws and the screw for tightening, it helps spread the force without just digging into the aluminum. The screw is much harder than the aluminum soft jaws and thus any extra force you put into tightening just digs into the material. I haven't had any issue with parts pulling out after I did this.

Can't hurt to try it... I'll give it a shot!

I have a huge favor to ask. I just bought this same VFD and spindle from amazon and was trying to hook it up into a Openbuilds CNC. Long story short I messed around with several of the parameters on the VFD. I tried to use the user manual to set everything back to the factory defaults but now it is just not turning the spindle on. Would it be possible to record a quick video of all your Parameters from P0 thru P9 so I can see what I need to fix? Man I would be forever grateful :)

I'm out of town at the moment but I will see if I can get a video of it for you to look at when I get back.

Man get you some lexan and build a cage around that thing. Hate to see you lose an eye from metal flying. Do you run it dry? Wonder if it would help to lube it up a little with any type of penetrating oil.

LOL man aint no doubt! Cage probably the way to go haha.

Been running dry with no air or coolant. Eventually i want to add at least some air nozzles too blow the chips out. Flood coolant system would be the best but could easily cause problems with the circuit board so close to the tool.

Would have to get silly with the waterproofing lol

Nice! I bet that thing is awesome! I want to get something that can run bigger diameter tools and flood coolant. More height on the z axis would be nice too.

@@YerkitRacingChannel I have very height machine and it is great and easy to put material. Check my videos, not great like yours but here is one kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXeUi2iujLR_qNEsi=3rO1g2YBaVbTa3dc

you need an enclosure and an under/chip tray so you can run cutting fluid, doing this will greatly clean up your cuts speed and Cutting Bit life!! also please keep that emergency stop switch closer to you when running these test! it not only will help save the machine from damage, but help prevent possible Injury!
@YerkitRacingChannel4 ай бұрын
Solid advise on the safety switch. Working on an enclosure for it now!

@@YerkitRacingChannel Sweet!!! also if you have a place that produces scrap Granite if you can bolt your machine to a slab of Granite your machines stiffness and Accuracy will go far beyond what you can get stock.. also might want to think about getting into 3D printers as well they can help for printing mods and up grades as well, just a thought
@YerkitRacingChannel4 ай бұрын
@@haylspa The granite sounds like a good idea too! I just picked up an eder 3 v3 se as I'm building a JDs Garage plasma table now. Got the PLA settings pretty good but trying to figure out the ASA stuff now. Picked up an enclosure tent to keep the heat in. Printing okay with that but need to figure out supports for overhangs with it.

@@YerkitRacingChannel sry went to reply before guess closed it without sending oops sorry, what slicer are you using?? if you are using Creality's try using Orca instead.. there is an option for auto supports till you figure it out, I have 7 printers my self
@YerkitRacingChannel3 ай бұрын
@@haylspa i started out using creality print, then went to cura. I haven't tried Orca yet but will check it out. Cura has auto supports but I've only tried them a couple of times so far. One print for a bigger box got half way through and the tree supports broke off. Had to abandon the print which sucked.

Maybe I missed it; But how fast were the RPMs in that last cut?
@YerkitRacingChannel5 ай бұрын
Had 15,275 in the program but the spindle is manually controlled. That was set to 24,000 rpm, so should have been running at 24k.

The machine was cutting well but that vise has got to go, there is nowhere near enough clamping force to run those speeds. Also try a bit of wd40 sprayed on while cutting, your surface finish will improve dramatically.
@YerkitRacingChannel7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the wd40 tip Ill have to give it a shot. The vise is definitely on my list of improvements!
