When you said that you told your mom you were sorry that you didn’t get to everything on her list, and she answered that’s ok you can come back again tomorrow….I had to really laugh and then let my husband hear you say it. That is EXACTLY what my mom would’ve said to me too. And my mom loved teaching my kids about baking and sewing and crocheting. They always went to the fabric store and bought kits to do. She was such a wonderful gramma too! While they’re here, do everything you can for them. Spend time with them. Get those books grandpa and grandma remember…they are given prompts at the top and then they just write their memories down. I wish I would’ve done that. My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell carcinoma on February 7, 2014, and succumbed to it 5 days later. It was just that aggressive. She was only 73 and I think we all believed we had at least another decade with her. So do all the things. Love them up. Because you never know what the future holds. (I hope and pray both your mom and dad live to be at least 100 years old!!) and here’s a hug back…I was still watching!

My mom would come home from work, and I would have cleaned, reorganized pantries and even rearranged the living room furniture. I might have been 13 or 14 at the time. I was the same way as a kid. Good to know I wasn’t alone. I loved cleaning the house as a surprise for my mom when she would get home from work or something. I would even clean my older sister’s room for her whenever she went on a trip or was away 😂. I am 22 now and still do decluttering and organizing projects around the house when I am home from college. I did the linen closet last and my next project is under the kitchen sink 😁

I got to enjoy this fully whilst sitting on my sofa recuperating from major surgery. I love your parents home. It’s so cosy. Please don’t take offence but it’s nice to see cleaning the needed doing. I watch many videos and a lot of them (sometimes yours too) 😢 look staged as untidy or “dirty” just to get a video out. I don’t usually comment but I love an hour long cleaning video in a new location, this is awesome girl! Also we don’t have a whole lot in common but I subscribe and keep coming back for your videos because I think you said in one video that you struggle with depression and/or anxiety and I do as well and your voice and energy meets mine so well it feels comforting to see someone like minded being productive and always gets me motivated when most other cleaning/organizers on KZbin don’t because they have such crazy high energy for no reason and talk too loud or too much. Low: Indiana weather is so frustrating! One minute we have spring and then we're smacked with snow 😭 so we haven't been able to have our windows open to get the breeze in. Completely understand what you're going through! I grew up in Indianapolis on the south side. Graduated from Southport HS in 74 and nursing school at University of Indianapolis in 77. I too used to surprise my parents with projects when they were gone. One time I painted their bedroom when they went on vacation 😊I like to do cleaning and decorating too. My brother lives in my old childhood home with his wife and dog. Today I am painting the ship lap around our new electric fireplace. I will be staining the mantle next. I enjoy your videos so much. This video made my heart so happy 💕 Hearing you talk about your childhood and parents is wonderful. I also live down the road from my parents and my kids often go there to hang out. I also loved cleaning and organizing as a kid (still do). If you want to try a new cleaning tool I recommend the Vileda glitzi power inox, it is like a steel scrubber that works magic on oven trays and anything stainless steel.

I would do that for my parents too. I would surprise them with cleaning the house . I also would surprise my daughters when they were teenagers with their bedrooms deep cleaned . When they would come home from school and they would be so happy . I thought I was weird too 😂

I'm cleaning in little episodes. I've been feeling sick and I can use all the motivation to get stuff done. I've been slowly getting back into my usual routines. Besides being sick I have been keeping up with my kitchen so that does help out usually that's the area that tends to get used the most and a catch all especially my table.
