Cayman gets taller every time I see him! He's like my brother. My bro was SHORT until he hit 13/14, and then his feet and shoulders exploded. Then, his back STRETCHED. Now he's 6'3" in his socks. This all happened in about two years. SCARY! I staid at 5'5", and had to watch as my "little" brother towered over me. He's taller than my Dad. Is Cayman a natural at math, music and sports, too? If he's like my bro, Cayman will succeed at anything he turns his hand to.

@UFHoee "Some Americans", I know more people who take their shoes off at the front door than people who walk around the house with their shoes on. Most just walk around in their socks, some (like me) wear slippers. I used to think shoes on/off was dictated by regional manners, but it doesn't seem so based on who I've talked to or at least the practice of taking shoes off has been spreading over the past 30+ years. When the topic comes up at work it seems like a majority of my coworkers also grew up and know people who take their shoes off at the front door. No one I know of in either camp will walk around the house in very obviously dirty, muddy, snowy, wet shoes. If I have guests, and they don't take the hint of the shoe rack at my front door to take their shoes off, then I just clean afterwards. All the areas where guests would go have hardwood flooring or laminate so it's easy. If I know someone coming over needs their shoes for their feet/knees/back/etc. then if they ask or start taking their shoes off I tell them they can keep them on.

I wish that you guys worked here in NYC. I used to clean carpets as a youth and always did a good job. My building hired some slackers to clean our hallway carpets (150 sq ft each and about 60 halls). For a goof I took a before picture of my floor to see what difference would be made.
