I hate those “disaster detail” videos where every one is the “worst ever”. We get it, US moms who drive giant minivans and feed their kids in the car with a diet of McDonalds and candy are disgusting but a lot of time and the standard detailing processes can sort them out. Water damage and mould, that’s truly a challenge. I like your videos because there’s no hyperbole, it’s obvious your work saves cars that in some cases would be scrapped

Just coming here again to say thanks for all your advice about my sisters car! I mostly fixed the paint work so it looks a lot better, it was the bonnet that was really bad with a white square on the bonnet full of scratches and now it’s black again. It looks 10 times better but isn’t perfect but She’s happy and so am I. It took me 3 hours to do it making pass after pass to get it uniform as it was really bad. I will do my own car next to get rid of the water marks and light scratches caused by bushes. You’re a great detailer and have helped me massively.

I admire your dedication and skill. One matter that perplexes me. Given the very effective wet vac technique on fabric, doesn’t the seat foam get appreciably wet inside? If yes, how do you get it bone dry again? If it can only properly dry over time, how do you avoid weeks of steaming up the glass in the interim?

The problem with wetting seat fabric to this degree is that it causes the seat foams degrade and fall to bits much quicker but on a car this dirty shy of replacing the seats from a scrap car it's the best you can do.

Good aproach to test different products on these really messy cars to help us finding good/valuable products. The cars I use to clean are far away from this shape so I just use the apc in the pump bottle, spray and brush and clean it with only water in the vacwasher afterwards. Btw. Nice one, but how much does that kind of detail cost? I mean, on a 1500 pound car, and doing a 3-500pound detail seems a bit overkill??

Around £200, it was unsalable before, so it offers good value for the client 👍😀

Great video but I do have a question. I don't see you spraying the car seats using the karcher shampooer, only with the spray bottle which presumably contains the Bilt degreaser. So when/how does the bio blue get used? My Fabia car seats are now moldy due to car not being used over lockdown, but they aren't greasy. Would you still recommend using a pre-spray?
@everydaydetailing6449
@everydaydetailing6449 3 жыл бұрын
Hi the bio blue is run though the karcher machine, as you pull the trigger it sprays the solution into the seat 👍😀 Regarding your own car, as long as you have an effective way of using a solution to kill off the mold/mould either a pre-spray or run though a machine should work, if you have a mould/mold problem make sure you don't have a water leak inside the car somewhere.

@@everydaydetailing6449 Many Thanks for your reply, I'll probably use a pre-spray. The mold is caused by condensation and lack of use and I'm now learning how to prevent that in the future too.

@@everydaydetailing6449 Hi again, I managed to get hold of some "Bio Max Blue Stain Remover and Deodouriser". I used it in a pre-sprayer and then used a rug doctor to vacuum it up. It worked a treat so thank you for the advice. I found out that the reason for my mold was because my rear seat foot wells were full of water. I've found out that this is a known issue with some Fabias so this info is mainly for your youtube followers who have the same problem. You can find solutions to it on youtube pretty easily.

@@everydaydetailing6449 you're welcome! I also meant to add that I completely agree with you on using Surfex HD for the upholstery cleaning, nothing comes close does it. And if it's bad you can always step it up in strength. I can totally see why you put the other product in the tank too, especially as Surfex doesn't have much aroma.
