Deep cleaning my LG dryer lint trap

Who knew we had to disassemble our lint trap to get it clean 🫠

I pull out the dryer, disassemble the lint trap, pull off the flex duct, clean out the trap, the back of the dryer, the flex duct, and clean my dryer vent from the outside every 3 months. It’s incredible how much lint makes it past the screen. Maybe I should offer this as a side gig to people in my town.

I think you should. You'd be making a little extra and making homes and their occupants safer.

You need to dis assembly the whole thing with this blockage from lint to regain near new drying times.all the ducting too shows years of not dowing annual cleans.

I DO clean my duct regularly actually. I have the whole kit with the vacuum attachment and extendable brushes. This is simply poor design.

they shouldn't make you take out screws to clean this. the design is defective.

Please, if you haven’t already, disassemble the whole front piece and clean near the heating elements. If you have that much showing then there is sure to be some there and it’s a potential for hazard.
