One tip that I certainly do is, I take off the wheels once a month and give a good spray to the wheel wells. I drive in an area where the roads get frequently muddy, and it helps to see everything clean and the amount of mud that comes out is inhuman. Of course, it may depend on person to person, but it’s just what I like to do!

Tip for weather tech mats like that, clean them like you did with soap and (drill brush if you have it) but then use meguiars hyper dressing, soak them in it and don’t wipe it off, put them outside and bake them in the sun and they will be a deeper black than you could ever imagine. This works especially well for old faded mats, it’ll make them literally brand new
@joeyojeda003 жыл бұрын
A good tip that I would recommend is when you’re cleaning you mats. After they are soaked in water shake off some of the water then spray the natural shine on then, and then wipe it off and it gives it a nice shine also it helps so your feet won’t have to slide or slip

Most cars 2010+ have what’s called low-pile carpet. If you’ve ever tried to vacuum your car and the carpet seems really thin and like there are particles stuck “under” the top layer or carpet, you’ll understand what I’m talking about. Compressed air will blast those last particles out of there and make it leagues easier to vacuum. I use a vortex air tool and it works wonders

I like to use the two bucket method with both bucket having a grit guard. One bucket with just clean water and the other with soapy water. After washing a panel go to the clean water bucket and scrub the wash mitt on the grit guard and go back to the soapy water. And a separate bucket just for the wheels only. And using a EZ Detailing barrel brush to hit the back of the wheels. But overall it looks good

Something I’ve learned at the dealerships I’ve worked at in the past is, diluted fabric softener in a spray bottle is a great tip to get hair out of carpet because it reduces the static charge on the carpet. Also makes everything smell really good!
@zenkijoe90223 жыл бұрын
How does this process work? Spray brush vacuum?
@Mediocre_prodigy3 жыл бұрын
@@zenkijoe9022 so usually if the carpet only has hair in it, meaning no heavy dirt. I use a spray bottle with the diluted softener in it and spray the whole carpeted area, then I vacuum the area, the softener will reduce the static effect and help pull the hair out. I just use whatever vacuum attachment you like best and it’ll do great

Just come hints and tips that i use but some may not apply to this one as i don't have experience with wraps but here it goes. 1/ use a de ironizer for the wheels before I clean them when this bad, then when I wash i use a car shampoo and a bit of APC in as well to help, can put this in the same bucket as your car shampoo too if you want. If you have a pressure washer a snow foam pre rinse is great can do it with a normal garden hose as well there is products you can buy but not as effective but I've used one for last 3-4 years and does a ok job, when washing your car wash in straight lines not in circles as it can create swirl marks which would be likely with a car in this state. When the outside was done would have put a spray on ceramic for Calvin to make it easier for him to maintain. Inside when doing the plastics is clean them first with a interior cleaner or APC diluted 10:1 in spray bottle and use the brush but spray some onto the brush before using to help minimise scratching and marring and regularly just have a spare microfibre to clean the brush if bad. Then apply the protection coat indirectly by putting it onto a cloth or applicator and then apply to the plastic. I also use a air compressor to just blow out any loose dirt and crumbs etc to be able to vacuum up (you didn't cause you removed the seats in this one) and one major thing colour code your microfibres so you know it's intended use so you don't cross over between areas as well e.g. wheels, exterior panels, interior, glass etc. But was an awesome transformation Ricky but now the challenge is for Calvin to keep it up

when using a paint brush or any bush for that matter use some tape to prevent scratching from the metal collar.. using #0000 steel wool will work just as good as a razor blade and will get rid of any water spotting as well..

My only addition is the not forget the cabin air filter. Commonly overlooked, and it contributes to the smell in the interior. Also, do it prior to vacuuming since you usually get leaves everywhere.

Detailing is incredibly satisfying, although laborious. Results look great, but always remember if it can be cleaned, it can also be protected. Everything from waxes, conditioners, glazes, sealants, ceramic and graphene coatings, and PPF. I personally use all, but there’s a lot of money left on the table when it comes to protection. Not saying this felt half done, because your results are fantastic. But always always always, boost existing protection, or add protection where it isn’t present! There’s many available coatings that are easy to use and pretty user friendly. We personally offer paint, wheel, glass, exterior and interior trim, leather, and fabric coatings to all of our customers to make sure we provide long lasting, and high quality protection. Vehicles are typically our biggest or second biggest investments we make in life. Therefore, worth protecting. Outstanding results with the minimal product haul you had to work with.
