You know what this video has convinced me of? That we need a joint NOAA/NASA project to create a undersea version of the ISS; a permanently submerged, mobile (unlike Aquarius) underwater lab large enough for several researchers to explore the oceans to nearly all depths. The lab could be maintained much like the ISS is today, with frequent supply drops and a regularly rotating crew of international divers and marine specialists conducting as many studies as they can to exponentially enhance our understanding of those two-thirds of our planet, along with the bulk of it's lifeforms.

Im currently at cocos island national park as a volunteer, so far i did my first two dives ever here at the island, but sadly i havent been able to see a hammerhead, my friend Debbieafellow volunteer has seen them a couple of timesbicause she goes diving nearly everyday, but i was lucky enough to have my first diving experience here at cocos, and after i dived my second time i got really scared because i saw a huge tiger shark under our dinghy.

Jonathan, could you possibly head over to the Salt Marshes of Georgia? I know the ecosystem very well, and, although I don't live there, I can tell you that you will be blown away by the biodiversity in the area. The area around Skidaway Island and the Skidaway Institute of Oceanography is incredible.
