I always wonder why these big churches only have young people on their worship team's. It's like if you're over 30 you're too old or something.. you can't tell me that a church with that many people , the only musicians are in their 20's. I guess everything is only about " the look". I have yet to see a worship team on youtube with anyone that's in their 40's. Pretty sad I think. Everything in this life is all about what you look like. I never see anyone that's not perfect looking at all. Everyone is always skinny , perfect hair. . Sad. Gotta have " look""

I challenge you to look at your thinking. You're saying everything isn't about looks, I totally agree with that. But what are you doing, you're focusing on what it looks like, "looks like they are all under 20; looks like its about what looks." What are you looking at: the people, or the fruit? Apart from that, nearly every big church has older people playing-- For example Bethel has Brian Johnson (49, worship pastor & leader), nearly every one of their artist and leaders are over 30. My church of 8,000 only 3 of the worship leaders are in their 20's as for musicians-- look at anything that is relevant in the music industry, how often is there a new band that is big that is above 40 years old. Music is changing constantly and what is palatable changes its not easy to change the style of music you learned. If you can be 45+ years of age and still proficiently play the music we have nowadays then shoot, Go ahead! Im not saying older people are not capable of bring others into worship at all. I'm just saying its difficult to. To be consistently growing in your gift and be raising children and grandchildren and handling a marriage is easy i would be surprised. Younger generation has more time to put into that side of things. Would I like to see more older people on the stage, yes! But do I blanket statement the reasoning we dont see them in a form of an attack on the motive of the churches? No. I like to see the best in people and churches. 1 Cor. 13:7 says [Love] "It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." So if you can't say that for certain that its the looks then the only way to tell is the fruit, I'll leave that up to you.

Think about this, it’s not about the looks it’s about getting the youth involved. How beautiful it is to see our youth being involved. I agree they shouldn’t be opposed to adults but I think the point is to give the youth of their church a chance to be part of the worship experience.
