And people dying is literally part of the main sport of their society since they can respawn, so I don't think it's unreasonable a few kids got splatted

If you pay attention to some point, you can hear like a gigant splashdown and sirens, maybe cohozuna attaked or the salmonids in general? You can hear also after Frye uses her Eels, you hear a like a salmonid getting splatted. The poor inkling boy got splatted... creepy This is a theory, also i don´t think if they splatted the hole school, they just can´t be the idols, there is no way. Comment what you think.

Do you guys really think that if Deep Cut caused this much trouble at their middle school graduation that the Splatlands would let them be the region's representative idols... like 'oh sure let the kids who brought the entire school down during graduation be the idols representing their region'. They were most likely defending their classmates from an attack on the school during the ceremony and gained their fame from being heroes. Deep Cut isn't just 'feral gremlin trio' be serious

I generally agree but since the regions idols in the case of splatsville are the passed down legacies of the three clans that protected the land during some flood (the sunken scroll lore) since they are the current heirs of each clan they would’ve had the right to be idols either way

you (and everyone else in the comments) are thinking too deep. what attack would it be? salmonids? why attack a middle school, likely away from the shore, of all places? why would we not know about it until now? can't be big run because it doesn't fit the timeline. also their respective clans were already esteemed in the splatlands, they weren't just randos (splatoon 3 sunken scroll 2). if anything this probably just made them even more popular - from my experience middle schoolers love fights, this was probably an absolutely legendary moment for those kids lol. other bonus tracks involving the other idols don't have much lore significance so i don't see why this one is any more serious anyways. deep cut can be silly while still being interesting characters

I have a theory that maybe this is an earthquake or a fire. You can hear people dying as well as sound effects used in the Splatoon 3 boss battles. Also building parts collapsing and people screaming. Possibly trying to protect people at their school. I doubt that this was a Salmonid Attack or that Deep Cut did this on purpose. I don’t really hear Shiver laughing at the end but more of a high pitched screaming

i dont know why people are pointing to salmonids causing a riot it just sounds like shiver and frye were trying to one-up each other and then got into a fight? bringing out weapons (the splat noise sounds like a splatana slash) and their companions (shiver's master mega and frye's eels based on the eel flute) and if youve ever been to a school, you know people scream for no reason when someone starts throwing hands. at some point i guess they just cause absolute chaos and escape with laughter as the police are on their way? thats what im hearing, so its just a theory until we get an actual explanation.
