Personally I don't see this as a tip in how to create separation, but how to take advantage of you defender's positioning. The force was flick from the beginning and Beau's defender was already on the wrong side to make any type of play. Beau recognized that and thought he could outrun his defender even though he was forcing him under. If the defender stood deep on the open side then it would make it harder for Beau to create space and get open deep, even with his athleticism.

Completely agree with everything said! Think you could have possibly used a better example however. Beau starts his deep cut almost level if not 1 yard behind his defender. If it were not for his athleticism, the defender would have almost definitely ha the advantage. In my opinion Ofcourse!...

+Connor McHale I disagree slightly. The defender was not on the open side of Beau, and when he started his cut you can see that the defender was always trailing. I'm not saying that being Beau didn't help, but I would take those odds for cutters of equal athleticism.
