I like how you arrange around the patched modular. And it's flowering in composition

Great format to your videos on the volca line! zero fluff and a proper showcase

I’d love to see you extend the deep dive break down into all aspects of that first jam, and discuss the performance aspects too… I.e. the way you brought the various drum patterns in.

Thanks for the comment. I'll think about it, and what I will focus on in the future of the channel.

I really enjoy your videos. And as Jean-Michel Jarre was my inspiration to get into music making at all you have my like on this one of course :)

Thanks for the video! : ) Have you tried to use a MIDI keyboard via the CV In ? And if you did, what was the result?

No, sorry, I have not tried that.

Been watching all of your deep dive series and especially enjoy how you show each patch in context with your jams! I was really looking forward to this one since the modular is probably my favorite of the volca series. Bit of a learning curve to understand how to get the most of it but when it clicks, it really clicks! It's easy to get stuck on the crazy bleeps and bloops you can create with the woggles, but it's surprisingly musical as well with some careful patching. One thing that wasn't mentioned in this episode was the power of the stochastic sequencer though. I was pretty happy with this song I wrote that uses the stochastic sequencer extensively: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epS5aHdmiNiXobM. No synth is perfect though and the major drawback for me is the lack of polyphony. Connecting the modulator to the second LPG helps give the illusion of multiple voices but it's still limited. I think if you use two modulars together you could get some really interesting interactions between them, especially if you patch between the units! Would love to experiment with that sometime. Anyways, thanks for putting these episodes out. I don't have the nu bass in my collection so very much looking forward to see what you think about it!

Thanks for the comment! You created some very nice sound using the modular in that late-night jam session referred to in the link! :)

Do you ever actually deep dive like in oceans and stuff .. someone must of dumped a synth in the sea once or twice .. must be shit loads of ocselators and turntables and stuff chucked out of boats n ships .., ;:-,.

I never thought of that... Maybe someone could do a channel playing on only stuff found under the sea.
