Deep foot massage using Thai massage tools. Brandon Raynor getting his feet massaged by Cori. These Thai massage tools enable us to get in much deeper into tight feet. Cori also shows how to sue her elbow to get deep pressure on my feet.
My feet have been very tight due to me doing a lot of work in the garden pushing lawnmowers and wheelbarrows etc so it feels great for her to get in with some deep pressure and loosen my feet.
If you would like to learn about Raynor massage please take our online course at www.raynoronlinecollege.com
Raynor foot massage, developed by Australian naturopath Brandon Raynor, is a holistic approach to foot massage that aims to release tension, restore balance, and promote overall well-being. This unique massage technique incorporates elements from various modalities, including reflexology, shiatsu, Thai massage, and traditional Chinese medicine. Here are some of the potential benefits of Raynor foot massage:
Deep Relaxation: Raynor foot massage uses firm pressure and long, flowing strokes to help clients deeply relax and unwind. By releasing tension in the feet and lower legs, this massage technique can induce a state of profound relaxation, reducing stress levels and promoting a sense of calm.
Improved Circulation: The rhythmic movements and pressure applied during Raynor foot massage can stimulate blood flow to the feet and lower legs. Improved circulation can help oxygenate tissues, flush out toxins, and promote the delivery of nutrients, contributing to overall health and vitality.
Pain Relief: Raynor foot massage targets areas of tension and discomfort in the feet, helping to alleviate pain and soreness. By releasing tight muscles, reducing inflammation, and promoting natural pain relief mechanisms, this massage technique can provide relief from conditions such as plantar fasciitis, foot cramps, and general foot pain.
Enhanced Mobility and Flexibility: Raynor foot massage incorporates stretching and mobilization techniques to improve joint mobility and flexibility in the feet and ankles. By loosening tight muscles and fascia, this massage technique can increase range of motion and enhance overall foot function.
Stress Reduction: Like other forms of massage therapy, Raynor foot massage can help reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being. By stimulating the release of endorphins, the body's natural feel-good hormones, and activating the parasympathetic nervous system, this massage technique can induce feelings of relaxation and contentment.
Detoxification: Raynor foot massage can facilitate the elimination of toxins and waste products from the body by stimulating the lymphatic system. By applying pressure to specific reflex points on the feet, this massage technique can help improve lymphatic drainage and support the body's detoxification processes.
Balanced Energy Flow: According to traditional Chinese medicine principles, Raynor foot massage aims to restore the balance of qi, or life force energy, within the body. By working on specific reflex points and meridians on the feet, this massage technique can help unblock energy channels, promote energy flow, and restore harmony to the body-mind-spirit system.
Improved Sleep Quality: Raynor foot massage can help promote better sleep by inducing relaxation, reducing stress, and relieving tension in the feet and legs. By facilitating a deeper state of relaxation, this massage technique can support restful sleep and enhance overall sleep quality.
Overall, Raynor foot massage offers a holistic approach to foot care and well-being, addressing physical, mental, and emotional aspects of health. Whether used as a standalone treatment or combined with other massage modalities, this technique can provide numerous benefits for individuals seeking relief from foot pain, stress, and tension.

If you could give 40 or so hours of massage to a soldier, what do you think is the best allocation? An hour a week for 40 weeks? More condensed?

Probably why there are two different types of massages given in Thailand-- one for locals and a gentle one for foreigners. And you'd probably dislike Taiwanese foot reflexology too (even though it's amazing). 🤣 But seriously, it's imperative to work within one's pain threshold and to only apply as much pressure as needed.

To be clear, massage is not a treatment for PTSD and it’s unethical to suggest it as such. There are good, effective, evidence based treatments and it’s important that people who have this problem get directed to the correct, effective treatments.

What proof have you got that Raynor massage is not effective for PTSD?What is actually unethical is for you to claim that massage is not a treatment for PTSD when you have no evidence to support that claim. Governments dont like funding studies about the benefits of massage because they are bought by political donations from the pharmaceutical industry. Just because studies haven’t been done doesnt mean something doesn’t work. Also the studies that have been done about regular massage shows that it is effective against PTSD so Raynor massage will surely be

This isn’t how evidence works. You don’t get to say “I claim this works and it’s up to others to prove it doesn’t.” Any high school statistics student could see the nonsense in this. It’s not a political issue. If a person wants to make claims about effectiveness of care, they have to demonstrate effectiveness by the same standards as anyone else. Randomized control trials with double blind, peer reviewed studies. By your logic, as a licensed mental health provider (which I am), I can advertise to potential patients that I treat their PTSD by reading cookbooks and singing showtunes. This is obviously not healthcare. When you, as a completely reasonable person, raise concerns that I’m deceiving these people by saying this is treatment for their mental illness, I say, “You have to do the study to prove it doesn’t work, until then I’m just fine.” You have to be able to see the problem here. The burden of proving effectiveness is on the person claiming effectiveness. You can link all the videos you want, that’s not scientific evidence. What empirical, validated measures were changed by this treatment? Did her PCL-5 decrease? By how much? Was there a reduction in activation of the HPA axis? How much? How can the methods be reproduced by someone who isn’t already selling the product? If there aren’t answers to these questions that can be reviewed by peers and held up to the rigors of scientific scrutiny, you don’t get to make claims about effectiveness. Or at least your claims can’t be expected to be believed. People can spend their money however they want. I have no doubt that people who get your massages feel better. That’s not the same thing as treating an illness. Someone with cancer will likely feel better for a bit if they get a massage. That’s valuable and great. It doesn’t mean the massage is treating cancer, and to say it is would be completely unethical and illegal. Same is true of mental disorders.

@@richars65 no just because you think it doesn’t work doesn’t mean anything. You have no scientific proof that it doesn’t work. Not a shred of evidence just a fanatic anti Raynor massage prejudice. Science is all about evidence. Just because people in Europe had never seen black swans before didn’t mean they didn’t exist. They existed in Australia. Science isn’t about fanatic non belief in anything it doesn’t understand. Real Scientists are humble and know that they don’t understand many things, thats why they do scientific tests in things, before they come up with a theory that can then be challenged. Your just a know it all arrogant person trying to use science to hide your prejudiced beliefs behind.

I can claim what i want due to my experience just like someone who has seen a black swan can say he saw a black swan regardless of whether other people have seen it. But who are you to call him a liar just because you think black swans dont exist. Your just arrogant and real science is against arrogance and prejudice
