a few questions, because I find your techniques very interesting: 1. When you talk about the bands of tension and muscles roots, you're obviously not talking about actual muscles. Are these bands of energy? Pressure points that work with the nervous system to release muscles further up? 2. Does this cause bruising? I spend all day on my feet and think this kind of treatment would be helpful, but if it leads to bruised or swollen feet, even for a few days, that's a no go for me. 3. How do you sterilize the wooden tools between clients? Thanks for the interesting and relaxing videos.

1. The bands are physical and energetic and are composed physically of muscles, tendons and other soft tissue and underlying that they are energetic pathways for subtle energies that can cause blockages and muscular tension. 2 Bruising is a big subject. When done correctly on a healthy person this does not cause bruising. However when done incorrectly by not getting the roots of tension out it can cause bruising for example by working into the calf muscle when the toes haven’t been released. Also some people bruise very easily due to various factors such as anemia, toxins etc and just like with Chinese cupping therapy massage can make those people bruise. The idea of bruising in the theory of cupping is that bruises are toxins coming to the surface. In some cupping traditions leaches were used to drain the toxic blood. In this massage Shane did not bruise. He just felt good after. 3 We disinfect the tools with antibacterial wipes.
