the red gem u have on is it now bis for every weapons ? or is it just because of the nerf of other gems and its not rly worth it to split gem on fs ig bb stuff like that ! Nice vid and moves! Although im not convinced deep freeze has actually done much for u here. Most of your damage is when the enemy hasnt been chilled, so theres no benefit from the bonus dmg? The cooldown on storm is so long u barely get uptime. Maybe pylon, shower and tomb/storm would be better?

Ya to be honest I’m just using it poorly. I should be swapping my old combo to storm > fs dump > spike. But after playing it I can definitely notice a difference, I think this set up is BIS for mage but I haven’t thoroughly tested other stuff yet so I can’t say for sure :) sorry I can’t give you a straight answer yet!

As much as you can IMO. I run 4 just because some perks, like shirking energy on my Attuned Leather Pants takes priority over SH, but if Attuned already has shirking energy on it, my choice would be shirking heals.

I’ve tried it. Overall it’s not the best just because you can chug mana pots and there are other very good pieces of armor. But it is nice if you don’t want to chug mana pots or in situations such as dueling.

I think you would get more DPS out of inferno. Tested the deep freeze and it’s only doing 8.7% damage at the moment

Inferno having no gem slot you loose the 12% bonus from socketing a opal the trade off for an 8% benifit in close range not worth it for me

I haven’t tried new inferno yet but my thoughts were that a normal staff with deep freeze, attunement, plagued, and alac would be better. But how does inferno feel?l in s4?

I think plagued crits and alac are BIS on the staff, the only debatable one is attunement which fits very well with my playstyle

Healing tomb on the deep freeze is kinda troll. Put unending thaw or empowering ice spike

Unending thaw should be on the armor not weapon unless you want a pad weapon. Empowering spike is pretty bad for my build against good players. Tomb is the best perk and an argument can be made for deadly frost as well. I go in depth into the reasoning my last build video if you want to know more.

id say the main strength of deep freeze is just the 15% increase in damage. the artifact pretty much just added on 15% damage to firestaff and spikes for me at least xD hence the title of the video tho i am planning on making a windchill video soon xD
