Yum. Cornish hens are delicious. The meat is juicy and sweet. I used to bake these with just a huge healthy dose of Tony Chacheree Creole seasoning. I bet that is delicious...all crispy...omg

It never occurred to me to fry a whole hen. Looks terrific. Thanks for sharin' the content. BTW, the cord is short and the recommendation about avoiding the extension cord is mostly to make sure the cord is up off the floor and not stretched across the kitchen. Imagine how awful it would be if you (or worse yet, one of your rug rats) got hooked up in the cord and pulled the whole 2 gallon and 1 quart of hot oil off the counter and onto you and everything else in the area. Really bad Thanksgiving Day.

I only had fried Cornish hens at a restaurant in Little Rock 20 years ago.Thar place also had a great oi/vinegar garlic dressing for my salad.The restaurant is The Faded Rose.

Sir how often do u change the oil with a fryer like that? And how do u discard of the oil? Only reason I don’t use deep fryers is idk how to maintain them, I usually shallow fry things and toss the oil after 2-3 uses

Remember never plug it in before you pour the oil in if you do you just burned the fryer out it will not work if you don't put the olive oil in before you plug it in I learned the hard way

Now Cornish hens are expensive and oxtails, I’m glad my Boys are grown now so they chip in, that is if they want me to cook for them.😊 I remember when the hens were 2.50 ea.
