I have watched The Adventures of Tom Sawyer several times and so I came here to watch and see the small town. Oh how I love it and feels like I’m in the book as a character too. I wish someday to visit St. Petersburg (Hannibal, Missouri). I’m from Philippines 🇵🇭 who loves Mark Twain’s books. It’s my dream to board the steam ship in Mississippi River pretending to be Becky Thatcher. 🥰

My name is Emma and I work at the mark twain cave as a tour guide and photographer. I have watched your videos for about a year now. It sucks that I did not get you on my tour this time so next time ask to go on Emma's tour. I'll make sure to tell my friend Jonathan (your tour guide) about you and your youtube channel. Thank you for coming to the cave and I hope you enjoyed your tour and also come again soon!

Loved it. Awesome job of telling the story of Sam's days in Hannibal. Sure brings back memories from my childhood when my parents took me to that cave in the mid 60s and I thought I was Tom Sawyer.

I remember when you visited Hannibal, Missouri a few years ago. Not much has changed. However, because I am also a Mark Twain fan, it's still an interesting place and you're showing things in this video that you didn't show in the last video. You could probably make several long, interesting videos about Hannibal, Missouri because you know so much about Mark Twain's life. Looking forward to your next Hannibal video in a few years :-)

Back in Missouri? Stay in the cave, buddy - too many tornados and floodwatersaround! Stay safe and tell the locals that I’m praying for them.. I’m in the South where it is gorgeous but my son and family are at risk! Midwesterners are strong people-May they stay safe! I’m a retired English prof who loves Twainand feels a connection to Hannibal !

Wow! This was an epic tour Justin. I’ve always loved the stories by Sam Clemens a.k.a. Mark Twain. I used to read everything that I could get a hold of that he wrote. You really honoured his memory and helped to preserve this story for the younger generation. I’ve watched your past videos of Hannibal Missouri and cannot thank you enough for doing this again. You must write a book some day.

I do believe that the energy of a person can manifest itself in different ways. I was traveling through Missouri once when I spotted a cave from the road. Exploring it was an awesome experience. Certainly creepy being alone without a flashlight. Obviously, I didn't venture too far but it was most impressive.

Love watching your travels.... because, of course.... “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”

Justin, I am sure you had a great time there, but I sure did not in early April. The bad: 1. driving through Kansas sucks; 2. Antique stores closed permanently; 3. The haunted tour wouldn't accept debit and only cash and changed their hours versus what was stated on their website; 4. Lighthouse was missing; 5. Mark Twain brewery was the only good place to eat; 6. Never ever stay at Best Western on the River, they won't acknowledge your reservation and steal your BW points so that you either have to buy new points or make a new reservation; and 7. Pink Elephant antique shop smelled bad and staff was quite rude to myself and girlfriend. Good things about my trip: 1. Mark Twain brewery; 2. Mark Twain boyhood home; 3. Ayers Pottery shop; 4. cheap gas; and 5. locals were nice (Hannibal); and 6. decided to drive up to Springfield, Ill for the day and see everything Abraham Lincoln. Would have been nice to at least see the River boat, but fully understand why it was missing as the Mississippi river was very high.
