Deep Jungle - [6] - Kingdom Hearts (PS2)

After beating the Preliminaries, Sora and co. head off to the next world. I remember getting lost quite a bit in Deep Jungle, but it's not so big really. There are still a few aspects that are a mystery to me, though. It has been a long time since I last played this game...

A whole bunch of fighting ensues. There was the option for a time trail, but I did not feel like failing a bunch of times. The vines are already buggy as is.

I have no idea what really needs to be done to kill this plant thing. In all the times I've played, I've winged it. Never read a FAQ about it either. XD After killing this weird pseudo-boss, I decide to leave to Traverse Town again to mainly buy some potions for the real boss fight.

One of the weaker worlds in my opinion. The amount of backtracking is just ridiculous. There's nothing really interesting visually so it gets old pretty fast. The platforming is just not good in general and moving around can be a pain since you don't have high jump yet. Story wise it's just kind of a bland recap of the movie. Clayton is a pretty boring boss since you can just knock him off the stealth sneak and kill him in like 2 minutes.

I got stuck on this level completely and never got to finish the rest of the game until I got to middle school and got a completely new game. -We purchased the KH game like 3 times because I loved it so much and wished that I could beat it-

Remember, forget the Heartless when dealing with the fruit. This goes for all the people who haven't played this in forever, or something. If you have scan, you can keep track of how many more hits are needed to take out the plant.

If you came here looking for a walkthrough, do not bother. This idiot is using a cheat device, it is IMPOSSIBLE to make that jump that he did at 42:55. He obviously cheated to jump that extra distance.

You have to do the mini quest to find the 6 slides at the camp, then view the slides in the tent. You can get the cutscene for Kerchak either by swinging from the vines, or by going to the end of the hippo lake to the pole you can climb up (you have to reach it by jumping off the hippo's back). They both lead to the same place, but if you don't need the chests, climbing the pole is faster. Learn from my hours of frustration lol.

I'm always falling from the vines, do you direct Sora in the direction of the vine or you just press the button when it says jump?

This was my favorite cutscene to this game, I have this game on ps2, even though I had a hard time beating that last heartless but I overcame in won it was difficult so I did it. It took me almost 4 times to win this level, but I won fair, and square this was one of the coolest games to have ever played. This game has brought me so much memories from my childhood I still love playing this game, good thing I beat the entire game twice.

The only time I had some sympathy for Clayton, he was evil but his own ambitions couldn't compare to that of the heartless. What I never figured out is was it Sabor that "killed" him or did the heartless get him?...
