Every instrument you heard in this song was Stevie. He is a fantastic drummer, and most of that whole album is him playing on it. A true masterpiece.

Stevie Wonder is a true living legend. This album is a Classic. He's preaching the truth in this song...

The first few times I heard this song it was a an edited version, without the part where he gets off the bus, etc.. But when I heard the full version my appreciation for the song went through the roof. Stevie Wonder is a superb talent, with a powerful message in his music.

50 years ago, artists made music that we all could feel. It made a difference. Love Stevie for his continued efforts for justice, peace and love.

This is a very telling song. I am glad you picked this version. They did not play the last half on the radio when it was out. So much truth in this song. "I hope you hear inside my voice of sorrow" wow.

The genius of Stevie can’t be overstated. Marvin’s, “What’s Going On,” Curtis Mayfield and others gave us the real world along with many others. Man, we had such great music growing up in this Era…. ✨

In a documentary on Motown and the Funk Brothers, it was stated that when Stevie first signed with Motown he was 11 years old. He very quickly came to know the musicians well, the Funk Brothers. He spent time with them and learned each instrument. They enjoyed teaching him, but as one of them said, they didn’t teach for long because he was such a fast learner and before long he was able to play every instrument. He is a national treasure for sure. Thanks for the great reaction. 👏👏🥰

Whether you do it privately on your own time or on the channel, you owe it to yourself to listen to this entire album. Stevie is a living legend, musical genius, lifelong activist, a songwriting machine and spiritually enlightened human being. You are probably too young to know but his song Happy Birthday to you was the anthem of the movement that led to Martin Luther King having a national holiday in his honor. Dive on in. The water's fine😌🙏🔥

Stevie's songs are amazing! His music's funky and the lyrics were so important, especially during the 70's. Suggestion: Stevie's "YOU HAVEN'T DONE NOTHING'". I read that the song was directed at Richard Nixon, just before he stepped down as president. This was back in the 70's, but could be politically applicable now?

"Uptight (Everything's Alright)" a Motown huge smash hit single released back in 1965 by Stevie Wonder in the earlier days of his career was smokin' hot for that time period. Additional instrumentation by 'The Funk Brothers' on the recording enhances the rhythmic fast-moving of Stevie's song. The song definitely gets ya movin'. 💫🎤🎸🎺🥁🎵🎶🔊🔥📻🎧

You need to listen to his song "I was made to love her" this song is a very early song, he was only 16 when he sang this song. It is my favourite song of his such a heartfelt song for a young man. He is a natural talent.

Love Stevie and every track he’s ever done, his writing, his voice, his energy, instrumental arrangements -everything. If you can, check out a cover of this song by Swedish fusion trio Dirty Loops. A shorter version, only four verses or so, but so funky, bluesy and jazzy, -great in a different way. Oh yeah, and a sweet bass solo delivered by bass god Henrik Linder 🔥 Link below 🙏

Your interpretation is great for a first listen. I believe it would have been exact if the context of the time was more familiar to you. The brother was bright but naive to street life. Back then drug 'runners' were a thing. 90% of these crimes came with a steep price to pay for young African-Americans. This song gives a sober view into our communities at the time. Definitely not all music and dancing. BUT...this was a straight jam though! 🎶🤭
