Thanks Shakes! Generally YOYOKA likes songs that are a challenge. She does most of her covers in "one take. no edits" unlike most You Tube musicians that do a shit ton of takes. For easy songs, she listens to them 1-2 times and for the difficult songs, like this one, 5 listens. Ian Paice (Deep Purple drummer) did a reaction to this song a year ago (447K views) and was like a proud father saying that musicians 3-4 times her age can't even play this song. YOYOKA is awesome, but in addition to that, a couple of reasons she sounds so good are she knows how to tune her drums like a fine watch, she uses 11 mics (3 on her snare) in her home setup (not sure here but looks like they're there) and her father is a top notch sound engineer. Put her talent and all these things together and this is what you get! She visited Reactionist Wave Potter's home and tuned his drums before their jam session. He said they had never sounded so good and he's afraid to alter the tuning now...lol

Deep Purple and Rainbow have always been huge in Japan. Probably why she picks their songs. Guitarist is tasty too !

We are right at a month and a couple days away from her becoming a teenager. She has really stepped her game up over the last year. To me, what is even more impressive about Yoyoka is that she is able to keep coming up with workarounds. She is not letting anything stand or get in her way. When something does get in her way, she comes up with a solution. This is how she is so good at what she does. Now, she is getting ready to step into the big leagues. There are a lot of insurmountable obstacles she needs to overcome. Part of this is money. I know that she has a crowd funding page turned on in Japan, and plans to turn it on outside of Japan. I don't want to get into all she is getting ready to face, but it is significant. But there is one big advantage to being young. It is easier to face difficult odds than when you are older. On a personal level, Yoyoka says she is bored with school, which is understandable. She is ahead of the curve in terms lf learning so certain subjects in school are going to seem boring to her. The other issue is that she is a musician playing on a professional level. She is putting her heart and soul into her efforts. On the other hand, getting ready to turn 13, she is not in a hurry. But talented kids like her are supposed to be patent and wait? Go tell that to some of these kids playing sports in high school who are in the top 100 of their game who want it so bad, they are willing to reclassify to play on a college level. When she was 8 she said that she wanted to be the best drummer in the world. When she was eleven she got on the top 500 list of drummers in the world. You cannot find another female under 21 as a better drummer than she is. She is better than many male drummers on the list. But she, as of yet, has not established herself. Not to say that she can't. In a year or so from now, I will probably be eating my words.

She also did a colab with Ian Paice (and Sina), it's on his channel. She forms bands like this all the time like they're no big deal. And, like you said, it looks like they've been playing together since before she was born.
