Tone is to die for. Nice to see a less well known track given some respect.

Thanks, i think it does sound good. I mean if you plug into Max's marshall and aiwa pedal it is hard to go wrong.

Beautiful. Great example of Blackmore's exquisite rhythm work. Often overlooked! Nailed it.

Thanks Max! Fully agree, Blackmore's rhythm is maybe the most underrated aspect of his playing. Even more so than slide. He was a rhythm master but only had the discipline to do it in the studio :D :D

You should definitely do a video on Blackmore implementing Major elements in his playing. I've always wondered about that. It always adds a great dimension to Ritchie's playing, even though he is strictly a Minor player.

He used it really nicely and effectively to break out of the minor realm. Even though he used it often, it was also with moderation. The only exclusively major solo of his is the outro of Since You Been Gone.

Great lesson! Good discussion for our next online lesson - Major/Minor Pentatonic. Was lucky enough to hear this song played live by Glenn Hughes band a few weeks ago. A fun song to play live.

You’ve aced another one Adam. Thanks. Love the natural finish on the Strat.

Thanks a lot! It was very fun to play. This natural MIJ used to be my favourite guitar, still has a special place in my heart as I picked it up myself on a trip to Japan.

I would like to see more covers from the Burn album, have you thought about covering sail away, a great song. Do you know what guitar effect Blackmore uses for the riff in the song?
@DogwithtwoBones8 ай бұрын
I am actually not that big fan of sail away. I love the burn album, planning to do more lessons on it. As for sail away I think he used a guitar synth on it., Sound kinda like a synth fuzz but I am not good with effects so not sure at all.

Always thought this tracks guitar parts sounded really southern rock.

For sure, the major pentatonic has that association.
