Update on first silk press: Bra Strap length hair has been cut to shoulder length. Got it done Friday and quickly dunked my head in water on Sunday because I didn’t like it. Cut so short, supposedly three layered” which is not cute and got heat damage.

Why didn't you just use 40 vol, without heat? Asking because I plan to do this on a client with virgin hair. She's probably a level 2 or 3 naturally. And I usually like to process colors in open air. Was the reason to speed up the lifting process?
