0:41 - No. We are mining only on one planet - it's called Hoxxes IV and it consist of different bioms. I am a fan of the video game but skipped on the board game due to the lack of verticality and some other elements. It seems a solid quality board game on its own. But as an implementation of the video game it's really lacking. Anyway its always interesting to watch you play, Mike, you are the best.

Sorry for my lore mistake!!!

You were correct, the scout can ignore all obstacles while moving including the lava, he just doesn't ignore hexes he begins or ends in.

Thanks, that's what I figured! It would be weird for some terrain to ignore his ability and others to not do so

Thanks for the gameplay, btw there is a mixed mission book which you can buy separately.

Someone on our discord shared that too. Definitely something that I want to check out!

I recall reading somewhere that these expansions were actually part of the plan for the game from the beginning but they were too much to include in the first campaign. One interesting note is that I came up with an Abyss Bar module for the base game right after it delivered (you can still find it in the BGG files) and some of the beers are either very close to, or exactly the same buffs as the ones that I envisioned there. The Slayer stout was one of those, re-rolling a pickaxe dice was such a big thing that it was the obvious choice for that particular beer.

Great review and playthrough Mike. Pricey game for sure, but they delivered both times on Deeprock and it was a quality product overall. After multiple times of being burned by game makers (Mythic/Blacklist Games) I think I gravitate to paying a bit more to support some of the crowdfunded companies that earned my trust. My kids and I have definately enjoyed tabling this game, and looking forward to playing the expansion once I get done painting up the miniatures. Worth mentioning the Valheim campaign is running by Mood Publishing as well right now. Hopefully they send you a copy of that to review as well!

Maybe you missed it, but I already did a preview of Valheim about a week ago :)

its a pretty good game but the rulebook is absolute trash. So many edge cases that arent clarified at all
@OneStopCoopShop9 күн бұрын
I’ve had a few things I wasn’t sure about, but wouldn’t call it anything close to “trash” 😅
@SamS-cb5ep9 күн бұрын
That sounds like an absolute deal breaker. A bad rulebook is simply not acceptable when there are so many other incredible games that could be played.
@OneStopCoopShop9 күн бұрын
@@SamS-cb5ep again, I don't agree with their take at all. The rules are fine.
@PRC5339 күн бұрын
The first rulebook did leave something to be desired but it was absolutely not trash. They had an updated version available during this campaign that has clarified all the issues found in the first version.
@oogiesmuncher8 күн бұрын
@@PRC533 Except even the second version has issues. It doesnt even mention that the driller takes his fire wall back on their next turn
