Man, not going to lie, purely seeing the drg weapons has me already thinking about how I could maximize the sludge pump in rogue core. The only thing I genuinely hope for is that skins or something translate from one game to another. I’ve spent so much time in drg that I hope I can get something for it in the next game.

I love roguelites and I adore DRG’s gear and combat system. This is a match made in heaven. Honestly it fits really well too, DRG is procedurally generated, has multiple swarm and mission mechanics, a lot of weapon combos with varying upgrades available to unlock… all it’s missing is a setting or story with a start and finish and it’s already there. I’m surprised the modding community hasn’t tried to make a new rogue like game mode before.

If I had to guess, maybe the upgrade screen on the wrist device is in relation to the character level as well? I know a lot of rouglites like to incorporate gaining levels with finding new equipment, but not sure since It feels like a wierd place to display it lol. Can't wait to see where the game goes!

These snapshots are reminiscent of a mission type i had thought of where the dwarves go down to an abandoned RnD site to retrieve a "data rack" from the computer. I hope this new Roguelite will inspire more gamemodes, weapons, and enemies for the DRG base game.

A theory i have is that the expenite corrupts machinery in some way, explaining new boscos red glowing eyes, also tying in with the red rock we see in the second image.

I'm excited for a deeper, darker DRG. Seems like the Deep Rock we're familiar with is a whimsical, alien wasteland. As though we have been exploring uncharted or inhospitable areas of the planet. Like the Amazon Rainforest or Sahara Desert equivalent. But like, to the extreme. Then you have Rogue Core, which will likely be more identical to the Fallout series. We visit familiar, charted wastelands that, for whatever reasons, have been abandoned.

WEird connection here, they're called reclaimers, the angle and length of the shot of the ship flying in the teaser trailer feels like the pillar of autumn from halo: CE? Coincidence? probably.

I would love to see so much more lore im drgrc, ive been playing drg since this announcement. So many questions, yet little to no answers. Id love to see this game touch on them a little bit. S5 says its gonna be like a prelude to this game. But I wanna see more

Since season 5 is a prequel to Rogue Core, and seasons 1/2 and 3/4 have had the same themes as each other, im thinking maybe we get a new mission type in season 6 where we explore the same caves we revisit as Reclaimers in Rogue Core.

I have a feeling this game is some sort of prequel to drg, the teaser trailer states "mining company deep rock galactic discovers the invaluable mineral expenite, close to the core of hoxxes" while this could mean they were already there when they discovered it, it could also be the reason drg ever set foot on hoxxes in the first place, we could be playing as the "original" classes, possibly including karl, maybe the game is some sort of story mode pve and depending on the class you pick, you get to play missions that are only available to one class.

Headcannon: hoxxes IV is a sleeping elder god of the drg universe that took the form of a giant crystal and eons of drifting through space has formed a rocky crust filled with valuable materials around it (which is why we’re there), through hoxxes inexplainable form of tectonics parts of this elder god have split off and made their way closer to the surface where us dwarves have found them, the core stones, drg took an interest in what they are and upon exposure to the air because of us mining then out they wake up, calling forth their minions through the portals they open.

Okay so, it looks like you can pick something a teammate picked with the heart system and then it will randomize who gets to have it and give the one who missed out something else. It'll be better with a coordinated team, but that's how it would work with pubs by my speculation.
