The DLC packs are GSG's form of donation since they don't want any money to go unrewarded, pretty much the primary way of giving them money outside of the full game. The Supporter Packs are the most expensive IIRC, so if you want the least amount of packs but give the most money, I recommend those.

Indeed. DRG and No Man's Sky are the only two games I know that consistently actually IMPROVE things with each update. They don't just change things to keep people from getting bored, or add nothing but more predatory monetization. True. There was a really high quality Reddit post with designs for like 7 new monsters they should add, I honestly would be over the moon if they did it. They were all super good and interesting.

One thing I really like is that they seem to be more intentional about making new enemies fill in unique roles. The Stingtail basically CCs dwarves by pulling them towards the swarm, while the goo launcher thing denies areas and means you have to consciously avoid kiting in circles. Previous new enemies often felt lackluster because they didn't really add to the dynamic of combat, such as Shredders being too similar to jellies and the Nemesis being not much different than fighting a Detonator. The best enemies make you fight differently instead of just looking different.

@@Chicky_Lumps I 100% agree. One of the best games for enemies I’ve ever played was left 4 dead - all their enemies were characterful, intentional, irreplaceable. I’m really glad these guys are adding new enemies, and at first I was confused what took them so long. But of course, take as much time as you need, if the quality rivals that of Valve. I’m excited to see how they fit in with the rest of the bugs! Xx

​For me deep rock is a left for Dead in space because there is a very big similarity in these two games with combat, there are creatures that kill you if they catch you alone, creatures that catch you and take you Away from your team, strong and heavy creatures that need the entire team's focus to take him down otherwise it will be a big problem, and especially the teamwork in this game is essential in the missions for complet her(left four Dead dosent have classes but the teamwork is essential)

Of course no new perks or upgrades to some perks. Like the part of unstoppable where u aren’t as slow in slow down effects should be put onto second wind and the other part of unstoppable should be put on strong arm (these just makes sense). And of course new ones as well. Another thing I want is adding modifications on each grenade to make them more unique instead of just swapping out for a new one. But no of course we didn’t get that. That’s too much to ask.

I am exited for the new cosmetic stuff and bugs, but no new guns or overstocks or any gear other than jet boot packs that will be about as common as battery powerd resource packs or recovered helmet coordinates? hopefully in the next update in about 7 months will have mabye new support tools ie: turrets and flare gun. Or new traversal tools like the zipline and platform gun. Also I hope we get more missions specific to season four with lore afetr every one, otherwise after 3 assignments were back to weekly priority and core hunts for another year until next update

I was really hoping the boots would be a new thing that you could equip in your equipment terminal. Hopefully they're not locked to specific missions. Literally every class would love to have rocket boots on certain missions, especially when playing solo or with less players so you can't work together to reach a certain place.

It would be interesting if they added more crates with class themed power ups, like Jet Boots are the scout class upgrade for all clases, we could have an over shield from the Gunner, a shoulder mounted mini-turret from engineer and a tiny satchel charge from Driller… Ok the last one I don’t quite have that many ideas without being too similar to other equipment but that’s the gist of it

I thought the new season was cool, but I really expected more variety when putting together a build, because normally there is always a stronger overclock than the other and the advantages so I don't even need to change, I really wanted each map and mission to force me to use different types of both passive and active advantages today it is very difficult to get out of the pattern. because there's always one much better than the other regardless of the mission or map. (But I am happy for your dedication and work)

I Love this game it’s fun it’s unique it has the best community out there and it isn’t greedy with overpriced micro transactions. And I’m sure everything in this update is quality content But it’s been six months and what we got is essentially a few new enemies most of wich are just variants of existing enemies, a free season pass with cosmetics (wich is amazing but still it’s just cosmetic) and flappy bird. Like I said I love this game and the community and ghost ship games but if it continues like this with so little meaningful content with so much wait inbetween updates I’m not sure this amazing game has a future.

I was hoping for a new support tool option in Season 4, but this is perfectly fine as well. New enemies, and an evolution of the lithophage keep the game new and fresh. I love how everything is free and not time gated. Although cargo cates are annoying to spawn/unlock, and the progress it stunted by needing to unlock a cosmetic per dwarf. Despite the nitpicks DRG has always been one of the few games to get proper game progression and content, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If there was a support tool choice in the future; I would hope the engineer gets a heal-bot deployable, Driller gets a auto-drilling bot (straight lines), Gunner gets small ammo can deployables, and Scout has a deployable lamp of some kind (no timer, no fuel).

A lot of the stuff for the new season looks really good, don't get me wrong. Ghost Ship Games always provides top tier content, though I personally feel a little underwhelmed by this season. All the additions are awesome, but to me it does not really feel like enough content to reasonably justify a new season. Mostly it can be summarized as new enemies and new customization. New enemies and customization are always really nice to have, but it does not add more content. Content is becoming fleshed out, but we are not being given more to do. Fleshing out content is always good, but there also needs to be new content. While the season pass will keep me occupied for a little while, it is not really going to be enough to make me feel satisfied. I would have personally liked to see a new mission type or biome. I am still excited for the new content, but I cannot help but feel we could use more.

I'm ready to catch some hate for this, but honestly not super thrilled with the update. Maybe my expectations are high due to stuff put out in the past, but 3 enemies, one non-special beer, flappy bird, a season's pass worth of cosmetics and the option to take my sleeves off (while I love the last thing) isn't really enough to make me wanna leap back in. GRANTED, I have a little over a thousand hours in the game and have been playing since 2018. When season 1 dropped, they put out 7 new enemies, an entire mission type, 4 banger primaries w/overclocks and introduced the season pass. Season 2 came out strong with the Nemisis and 4 more weapons w/ overclocks. Stack that up to this season and it flops, sadly, there's nothing new with the dwarfs aside from cosmetics! At least last season we had the grenade. I'd love to see something like a new utility/movement tool for the classes, or just a trickle of new overclocks, hell I'd take a new flare. Maybe you could have a mini drone with a light, I'm not sure, I'm just a cry laddie elf who's sick of the stench of rock pox in the air. I'm gonna sleep this temper tantrum off, wake me up when we find Karl.

It's not that we don't have as much content as previous season, if you do a more in-depth comparison Season 4 is on par with 2 and 3, 1 being the outlier and as said by the devs an anomaly. The problem is that this season don't have such bombastic changes as new weapons per see. they outright said both in interviews and livestreams that for now we shouldn't expect something like new weapons for quite some time, why? because at this time and stage of the game it would be a huge undertaking for their small team, they have to not only make 4 new distinctive weapons for the dwarfs (they're not going to do a This Rifle shots a bit faster but weaker than this one) and balanced out to be on par but not outright replacements for other weapons, which is a continuous development process even after release, make a fck ton of new distinctive balanced out overclocks for those weapons, and also having to update all previous DLCs and Free frameworks and paintjobs to include those weapons both present and future ones. As you can imagine, it is indeed a lot to do and while they don't deny the fact that they do indeed want to make new weapons, as of now it would eat up a LOT of the limited dev time they have. Now I GET the sentiment here and I'm not saying that your complaints aren't invalid, but one has to remember that GSG is still a small team and they can't constantly make huge content seasons like Rival Incursion, the best I can say is that you should temper your expectations for any future content, and still, I'm sorry this update isn't at all what you expected it to be

@@bonelesschickennuggets1868 Thank you for this kind and well structured reply, I failed to remember that all of the weapon skins would need to be remade for the new weapons. I totally agree on the distinct weapons too, useless bloat isn't what the game needs. I sorta hope they bring on some new members for the team, could breathe some new life into the think tank at GSG. RnS brother!
