An unexpected GEM today, riding with the motorcycles from Keetmanshoop ( Namibia ) towards one of the BEST camping spots yet on the (sandy) dirt road. This was a last minute decision to ride to the mesosaurus Campsite just a short ride from town. We meet plenty of new friends today, both human and animal, and the landscape is surely breathtaking.

The old man is a gem. Such a great storyteller. You were privileged to meet him. Wish we had met him. This is what makes the Namibians so special, nothing is too much trouble. Well done on the sand.

I completely agree with you, he was great and that is why we love going to the smaller and more private places. Meeting those people that live and breath this everyday and are so happy and welcoming is an absolute privilege

Namibia is full of these places, around every corner almost! We just need to stop and actually realise it as we ride along.

🤔 So, 'Rock Music' was first thought of in Namibia 😉 and high rise comunities, just need to learn to play ' All the old dudes' on the rocks now to cover the fossils as well🤣 . Nice one guys.

On that side on Namibia you don't have that many options, we meet a lot of people doing more or less the same route at this part of the country. Love the Oomie, he was an absolute gem!

Die aarde was dol en leeg Concerning the age of the Earth, the Bible's genealogical records combined with the Genesis 1 account of creation are used to estimate an age for the Earth and universe of about 6000 years, with a bit of uncertainty on the completeness of the genealogical records, allowing for a few thousand years more. Always interesting what different people say about different items and years

It is difficult to 100% know how things were and its age. We base most knowledge on either carbon dating or writing (or a combination) and the interpretation of this. There will always be a discrepancy in any theory, but this is also what makes it so fascinating. We don’t know! And as we progress in time, it also keeps changing because of new historical sites that are discovered and new or improved ways of science. I would love to be able to peek back in time and actually see what is reality 😁
