Some piece of you know what keyed my mothers 9 day old car out of spite and it cost us $6600 to get the car repainted. I always felt that the scratches probably could’ve been repaired like this rather than have the whole car repainted so I appreciate seeing something like this which proves that point.

if the color is dark, it can be done at 95% and sometimes at 100%, it all depends on whether the sheet metal was dented or deformed during scratching

Great job! Question: Why are you mixing the clearcoat with the base coat instad of first spraying 2-3 coats of base color and then 1 coat of clear on top? And why are you not using any hardener (like in your other videos)? Thanks!

I sand with 2000 until I apply the paint (2 or 3 coats until the case is filled) and then with the tool for leaks I align and again with 2000 I sand and polish a little

Another thing... the original owner of the vehicle tried to "fix" scratches by using a thin brush and that's it, it looks ugly, the so-called "repair" is noticeable, do you have a way to fix a failed repair attempt?

UV is fast, that's why it is used, but I still believe in the old way, i.e. standard coating with hardener

Have to say very great job and I did not see better result of such scratch fix on KZbin :) Only question: does this repair really needs to involve Airbrush? 0.8 nozzle will not spread metallic much, so microbrush could work well too without taping. Have you tried to compare?

it is not necessary, this is one of the methods with which it can be done, and on my channel there are several methods, for example with a needle, with a razor blade, etc.

I see that you've been trying different techniques for fixing deep scratches. Razor blade, touch up pen with scraper and UV and air brush and UV . I would guess you'd go for the air brush + UV. Less scraping and faster drying time. Faster turn around.

Alen would you be so kind to explain why a layer of clear coat isn't solution to make the scratch disappear completely. I'm not an expert in this and it just bothers me that scratch is still there, although hard to notice. Great job though. Keep up the good work!

believe me, the scratch is not noticeable outside in the sun, but under neon lights, it is noticeable from a distance of 2 to 3 centimeters because the sheet metal is slightly deformed from the pressure of the key

Will trird layer of paint completeley fill the scratch and make it unvisible?

To be honest a 3rd layer of paint is not neccesary as you will use the diamond after and remove the excess anyway. He uses a UV coating lamp to cure the paint so the sinkage shouldnt be an issue. If you let it dry on its own, you might need another layer if the panel sucks too much paint.

Great job but you are skipping important steps. After scraping the painted strip, did you polish it right away? I do not believe it. You must have used some water based paper before polishing. Maybe 1500, 2000, 3000 If you make guides, make them complete.

there's no need for that when you know how to polish, and if you haven't tried Kovax paper, try it and you'll see what I'm talking about

Please just omit the music. Having music at all is overrated and you’d be surprised how many people make the same comment on thousands of other videos. Not necessary, and if anything most often distracting and disliked. I’m a true music lover, and need music playing almost all the time, but for informative videos it’s unnecessary.

Much less noticeable in the sunlight than before. From my experience, lights, white flooring & white walls are LESS forgiving then the sunlight so I really doubt anyone that does not know this scratch is here will notice.
