DEEP SEA GIANT Caught while Offshore Kayak Fishing in Panamá | Field Trips with Robert Field

In this episode it's the last day for this group of clients, who have already scratched many epic fish off their bucket lists. Today we're taking a gamble: instead of heading to a protected area, we're going to battle high winds in hopes of getting a few more giant fish for these guys before they head home. Big roosterfish, cubera snapper, broomtail grouper, tuna, mahi and billfish are all possibilities. And luckily, our gamble pays off in a big way.
Then, back at the lodge, we're cleaning and cooking up our catch.

There are certain techniques that we go over the night everyone arrives in a little safety briefing. Just takes knowing a few rules of thumb. The kayaks are very stable and we use the right equipment. You could definitely do it. We’ve had first timers from all walks of life.
