Honestly the deep oceans fascinate me. It’s so eerie and interesting. It amazes me that life can survive so deep. I LOVE the deep. I might work in it in the future.

Some sea animals are so well adjusted to the deep sea that if they were brought up to the surface they would literally melt. They essentially have the consistency of the water around them at surface pressure (it basically kills them via melting).

From what I can gather Europa's ocean is probably 10x deeper than challenger deep. But due to lower gravity differences the pressure at the bottom will be roughly similar. It's hard to imagine.

I have a fair theory; that if we are to run into intelligent life that is capable of traveling the stars, most of it is going to be aquatic. Life can't survive without water and its more likely to me that we will run into an ocean fairing alien race than a land faring or air fairing alien race.
