Not just the Balkans, WW2 as well. Cardassia was basically Mussolini's Italy, the Federation(as always), was the US/NATO, the Dominion was Nazi Germany, the Klingons went back to being Russia and Bajor was basically France/Vichy France.

It's funny how much each character developed over the Arc of the series as an individual. I mean Quark saved the station a number of times! And became quite compassionate... DS9 really is best to binge watch in order to understand it. On another post someone mentioned How relatable it is now to so much our World is going through really. Anyway, they all are very talented and funny actors...

Quark is always a really honorable, compassionate and decent character. The comedy comes from his attempts to hide it, as it is considered weak and shameful in Ferengi culture

Interesting story when Rene overheard Dorn saying that he "broke" the DS9 crew of their seriousness ... but the fact was that Dorn could never remember his lines. Armin even confirmed that they received a lot of overtime due to that. Love these stories.

They were... just not together :) It was one of the last ones, the ending of season 7, can't remember the name but Quark got the message that he's gonna be the next Nagus and Brunt was trying to get on his good side - and in scenes on Cardassia, there was Weyoun.

Ich hab von der Destination Star Trek in Frakfurt die vom 21 bis 23.02.2014 gegange ist gehört ich wolte auch hin must aber leider Aerbeiten was Blöde war da mich Star Trek schon als Kind begeisterte und ich William Shatner als Captain James T. Kirk gesehen habe beschlos ich von dem Tage an ein Star Trek Fan zu werden auch wenn mein Bruder und sein Freundeskreis mich für ein Blödman halten bleibe ich meiner Fanleidenschaft treu und halte zu meinen Fancollegen die sich der gleichen leidenschaft verschriben haben danke für die Videos die du oder ihr Hochgeladen habt Danke.
