Good to see your back at it. You're a gun with a detector and a great teacher as well. You taught me a lot, and because of you, I enjoy every bit of it. Thanks, and congratulations on your find. Hopefully, will see more of you on this platform.

I appreciate a true find. So many of these you can clearly see the dirt was altered. You can’t fake how compact things are.

You can drill with an auger and drop nuggets down hole. oops undisturbed. Have done it with newbies to give them an experience. Never told them. Not saying that he did that at all, but can be done. Some of the nuggets dug on shows have been done this way.

These days… I bring with me… a battery operated hammer drill with an 18”x 1” Carbide drill to punch down a few holes down around the target. Doing that will break up the hard pack into chunks! Digging just one of those deep holes like that in hard pack or on a Reef with only a pick will wear you out for the whole day ! Great video… Thanks for taking the time to shoot, edit and upload the Video ! That’s a lot of work too! Cheers mate!

Hurray, I knew you’d be back one day!!! Fantastic find. Beautiful. I’d love to know what happened to all the ore that you had partially crushed, like 3 years ago. Any chance we could get an update? Thanks and welcome back!

Mate, I've dug about 5,000 holes. You'd save a lot of time with a post hole digger, and a crow bar when it's really firm ground. Saves bending over and great for your shoulders. I would have dug that out in about 15 minutes. Might have dinted it, but weighs the same.
@Digger0023Ай бұрын
You do know it’s illegal to use power driven equipment as a prospector?
@colincolensoАй бұрын
@@Digger0023 Hole digger (clappers) and crow bar are not motored. I almost exclusively hand dug holes. I was a retaining wall specialist. I've dug holes up to 1.8 meters by hand at times, using crow bar and rotational scraper. Also used machinery often too.
@Digger0023Ай бұрын
@@colincolenso Apologies mate. When you said post hole digger I was thinking you meant an auger.
@beergoldАй бұрын
@@Digger0023 There are hand augers, but unless it's specially designed you would have no chance turning it in rock hard ground, maybe mixing up a long crowbar might help though!!
@colincolensoАй бұрын
@@Digger0023 No worries buddy. Takes a bit of practice with the clappers, but super efficient, more so if water on hand for those kind of dry digs, but worth taking the time to get accustomed to them. Trick is throwing it, just loosening grip before impact to avoid jarring. Can go all day without injury.

Good on ya mate, but why do you swing the wand over and over again , it's so bloody annoying to keep hearing the beeps. We know it's there so all you have to do is swing once then again at 90 degs to the first one and thats enough . thanks

How great it is to see you back and posting some content! I was only talking to a mate about how you are one of my favorite prospectors on YT. One of the best videos was "how to pan like an old timer" , I love the technique because it is better on my back than the 2 handed method! I reference you heaps on my "fledgling channel" Thanks for posting such a great video, and what a couple of grouse chunks. Cant wait for the crush! Awesome, cheers Andy and Smudge poverty prospecting Australia 😊
