Im so confused what this type of massage is good for. I mean deep tissue massage i get, gives relief to the muscles since they work all the time but here he is just putting pressure on the foots nerves and cartiledge, whats that good for?
"Just loosen it up a little bit" he said lol. More like lets test the upper limits of both your pain tolerance and your toes ability to stay connected to your foot.

One thing I would like to add: I prefer to work deeply and slowly into a painful tissue. Quick movements are not so productive at this state. They will come later when the joint is more free and ready. This is my opinion, but as we say in Germany: The one that heals is right. There is no such thing as the one and only way.

This is the first time I see someone work on a patient as hard or may be even harder as I do... This may look disturbing for some - BUT there is really no other way to get the movement back into the joints. The purpose is to have it back for real by relaxing the muscle fibers and opening the fascia, the patient's task is to keep exercising - stretching and strengthening. Most often therapy is done without the opening of the joints which gives a short term effect only but no actual healing. Nice work!
