Good idea to cool your brakes before entering a water crossing, otherwise you could crack discs

Pity you didn't see that Leonard Gorge was closed before you got there. Bandilngan and Tunnel creek would have been a good alternative before there. Last time I was at Tunnel Creek a Freshwater Croc had set up residence at the entrance.

Note to Jake … Your wheel bearing will take a couple of hours to cool off Good luck waiting that long If you feel the hubs at centre of your wheel you can gauge how hot they are… In normal operation they shouldn’t get too hot to touch But it does pay to wait a few minutes for things like the turbo to cool a little bit before plunging into cold water … 12:53

Unless you've travelled on the road people don't understand the enjoyment of a naughty Macca's, KFC or pie etc.. you are hardly unhealthy and screw anyone that is critical 🖕. Great vid guys,, patience is always tested on the road, as above we all react differently, and what you Jake may consider basic checks, may not be the same for Lil and vice versa. According to Safari snorkels, they don't recommend using snorkel socks at all. They feel the socks block the airflow too much and block the correct fuel-air mix to the engine.

Cheers kenneth, fair enough I can see their point, and it would definitely be so on an older vehicle, but surely on a newer vehicle the mass airflow sensor should pick up on a lack of air and adjust the fuel to suit? Anyway what would I know! Thanks so much for the comment and thanks for watching!

Oh the Gibb River Rd tour begins with Lil n Jake🤣🤣🤣🤣 This will test your love and patience you have for each other!!! Not that I’ve completed it yet, but take it steady. Sometimes you may need to take those big levels on an angle rather than 45 degrees. It’ll stop the tow bar from bottoming out like it did and will save your gear.
