We should also add that we took two spare tires 🛞 but luckily didn’t get any blow outs! We would say a minimum of two spares is essential!

Do you carry spare wheel studs etc things like that also? Awesome video and gives a lot of insight into the gibb! Definitely saving this video for future reference for our travels!

We didn't, but it certainly wouldn't hurt. I think any spares that you think necessary are a great ' just in case'. Thanks heaps for watching our vid :)

Did the GRR back in 2012 with a camper trailer all the way up to Kalumburu. Planning to do it again with the same old trailer again next year. Always carry two spares and a highlift jack! I had two blow outs in one day on the car. Couldn't get the jack under the axle without the highlift. Your advice and tips were very good and helpful. Thanks

Great advice! A high lift jack is definitely important for a lot of vehicles!

Just finished it a week ago. 95% of it was easy. Highly recommend doing a suspension upgrade if you can afford it. Kununurra Visitors Centre were telling people places were closed when they were actually open.

Awesome advice guys! Really appreciate the insight. We were planning on doing the Gibb this week but weather has forced us to wait it out another 7 days or so. Also don’t have a snorkel so we are hoping we will be okay 🤞🏻

Noticed that at the 4 min mark you appeared to be travelling quite quickly when you had an oncoming vehicle. Wouldn't you suggest slowing in those situations?

Yep, most definitely. Would highly suggest always slowing down in those circumstances. Im not sure how fast we were going but agree that slowing would be a better decision.

Hi. We are planning to do a trip next year. Question is do we need to book seeing there are 5 of us?

Hey Robert, sorry about the slow reply. I think, yes. If there is 5 vehicles then it would pay to book. But that being said places like Windjana and Silent Grove dont have dedicated sites, so booking wouldnt guarantee you being all together if it is busy. Stations would require booking.
