The 40' Biogarden with ebb and flow trough gives us the mechanism to create an air layer beneath the water level without completely draining the beds and without need for mechanical aeration. When using this sort of Air Layer Technique the roots get fully oxygenated with each drainage cycle and then rehydrated and nourished with each filling cycle. The Biogarden trough is 40' long, level and we use a Trickle Valve and weir with pump on a timer to regulate the up and down flow to each trough. Storage tanks are located outside, underground. One 1100 gallon tank supports the 4 troughs.

What you're doing is inspirational as always, you mentioned flood and drain, is the water level controlled by Bell Siphon? Looking forward to more updates from you. Thank you.

Thank you. We designed an alternative drain mechanism. It's called the Trickle Valve. It is available on our website. Includes a weir which can be used to move water from a lower tank and or drain back to the tank. Also a valve on the lower portion of the unit to release water at any rate. We're selling these on our website as of next week in fact. Bioponica.net
