OMG! The Deepavali Festival Village looks to be more crowded compared to the last time you went there! Especially since Deepavali Eve is the last day of operations for the Deepavali Festival Village!

Happy Deepavali !! My early days living and studying in Beatty Road. Those 2 - storey flat built during Lim Yew Hock' era . Movies at State theatre in The New World Amusement Park . Morning used to jog to Syed Alwi Rd, passing by the spices manufacturing shops in Little India . Round back to Farrer Park Sport Complex , Hotel New World.....when I have to train for my IPPT.. Those were the days... 🙂

Deepavali and Halloween are on the same date, 31October 2024. So people get to chose to celebrate the Festival of Light or the Festival of Dark. The atmosphere here at Little India on Deepavali eve was great. Glad you enjoyed this video. Hope it brought back happy memories to you.

Yosh and Iku, Happy Deepavali! I wanted to make this Deepavali Eve video special and different from my recent Deepavali videos. So I decided to film the vibrant as well as the quiet side of Little India. I chat with people that met there and then. And none of them turned me down. Everyone has a story to tell. Stories of how they had to leave loved ones behind in order to work to put food on the table. I edited these out as this will make the video too long and majority of audience will not be interested.
